Ok, I am having trouble with texture packs because I saw that everything in it replaces anything else in .minecraft as you apply the pack. I have tried to make it the same with the class files so that only certain mods work when I attach a texture pack that I am making on minecraft.
Is this possible? Or am I just dreaming?
Diamond for positive answers! wait, wrong thin- *Boomey*
i think you should just put the texture pack then the mods and it should work, thats how i put my mods (the mods i use, i dont make mods). but i havent used any modes lately so i might be wrong.

hope this helps
I just tried to by putting the class files from the mods and modloader in the texture pack only, but havnt had any difference. Unless this only happens with SPC?
... well, it sure looks like it, but it doesn't work like that I'm afraid.
Only the content Mojang left to be modifiable can be changed with a pack. I did some fiddling around with packs and i noticed a "splashes.txt" file. Modified it (superCALIfragilistic)but noticed no real changes. At some point I left only one word in it and it still showed all the splashes. So that's not modifiable.
Same with .class files. As long as Mojang don't "activate" them to be adjustable through a pack they won't be.
A few updates ago Notch allowed grasscolor.png and foliagecolor.png to be adjustable with packs, before that you had to change them manually in the .jar file...
So unless they make it easier (modding API) you'll have to change it by hand.
Good luck anyway.
Thanks for the help! It's a shame that these are not modifiable... It would be awsome if so, change the whole way of minecraft just by a texture pack..
Do you know any mods for 1.6.6 where you can turn mods on or off in-game? That would also be pretty useful!

i once used mo creatures, wich requires modloader, audio mod and gui api
gui api is some sort an options menu for some mods, from there i could stop all the mobs from spawning.
