I got a new camera for graduation, and that gave me an idea.
A texture pack composed of pictures.
I would basically go out and take a picture, of, let's say, stone, and resize it. I couldn't do it for everything (like creepers) but I could do it for most things.
Do you think that this is a good idea? Has it been attempted before? Etc.?

If you plan to edit the pictures to make them tile properly, then yes, go ahead.
