This is the community texturepack. How does it work? Each user participates in making their share of one whole texturepack. Of course there will be a theme for everyone to follow, I still encourage you to be creative and original.
What you do is think of one thing you want to make, and then you make it. You are limited to how many things you can make per image. As in, you can make four blocks for the terrain.png, and then that's your contribution.
Just post your image(s), and they will be filled in the group they're meant for.
Then, once everyone's contributed or the deadline of a month is reached, I will set up a poll for you to vote which is the best. The popular vote decides which parts get put into the texturepack.
Rules:
Don't bash others or berate them for their skills at drawing. Not everyone is an artist.
Don't complain if your part doesn't get put into the final texturepack.
Feel free to PM me your contribution if you want.
I won't put your part in, it's up to the people to decide that.
Try your best.
Do not steal from others, or take from already-made texture sets. I will not add your contribution if it's stolen at all.
No HD sizes, only normal. Not everyone can run HD texturepacks.

So let's get this started! And please tell me if it's in the wrong section. I didn't know where to post this.
Also, I took a gander at the default human skin. Nothing too serious, just a fun little miner guy. By the way, how much can we contribute? Is there a maximum to what we can post up here, even if there's no way to get it all in the final pack?
I'll contribute the ore blocks (seen in the pic..the four on the right). I can do the ores them self too as seen it the pic on the left) if you want. It would also mean that i do stone so they match they ores (and not cel shaded like in the pic :biggrin.gif:).
They are from my "Cel Block 13" which is on hold for now. If you want all new stuff...then I'll have to go back to the drawing board

Um, I'm thinking mostly new stuff would be best. Not to say you can't borrow anything from your own works. Also, I think we should work out the prerequisites first. For instance, someone needs to do stone before we can work on the ores, and we should probably have most of the pack done before anyone does pack.png
Not that I'm in charge of anything. This is just my opinion.

No, you have to make new blocks. Regardless of if it's your texturepack or not, you have to make new ones for this texture pack.

Well, I took a crack at the stone texture (it's a bit painterly-esque, but I swear to Notch I made it myself). I actually made two of them, and to be honest I think the second one is best.

Cant wait for this!
*thumbs up*
It makes me think of a scary mansion. Like the one on Super Mario 64.
Now I can start adding things to the main post!
And remember to stay in-theme.
