TBH I'd release it. I'll look at screenshots of of a texture pack and think it looks nice. Then I'll download it and it'll look nothing like the screenshots. You lose details when you go from in game textures to textures represented via screenshot. Its hard to give criticism over something you can't "physically" interact with. Just my opinion.
That makes a lot of sense, I suppose my wonder is if I want that sort of criticism on an unfinished pack, though. But I guess helpful comments are helpful no matter what stage, eh? :wink.gif:
I think I shall wait until I finish the GUI as well, though.
you could PM the terrain.png to a few choice reviewers and they could check it out ingame, while you keep the whole pack under wraps from the general public until it's finished?
That's actually not a bad idea. A closed beta for the terrain would be helpful, but still keep the public from seeing things not yet meant to be seen by everyone. :happy.gif: Thanks legendary!

I LOVE what you did with the water, I think it looks really cool.
Next: the workbench. I liked it, but the sides don't convince me. It looks more like "a-couple-shelves-with-a-piece-of-paper-on-top" rather than "a-bench/table-where-you-work-and-make-stuff."
If you want to make shelves, I suggest adding them as paintings. That also counts for other decorations like drawers and such.
The chest, well, I'd make it a little brighter (just a little). Apart from that, I like the style of it.
I am DEFINITELY watching this thread. If everything else turns out half as good as the terrain is coming... I can't even complete that sentence. All I can say is that I am quite impressed with you and your work. And you say you are hand drawing these? All the more impressive! I am horrible at creating original art; the only thing I can create is abstract digital art, and that is ridiculously easy, especially compared to this. Keep up the good work man!

Well I started a new job and I was way too tired to do much work on this thing. What little work I did do was going nowhere for a while. :sad.gif: I felt sad about it, I just wasn't happy with the textures themselves. I kept seeing problems in small things and it would irk me so I never bothered to update the thread because I felt it was crap.
Only recently did I start working on it a lot, like I did before. And I've finally gotten my muse back so I'm happy to show you guys the progress I've made!
As always, criticism is appreciated and stuff! I feel like it did a complete 180 though, heh. The style. But I like it, I hope you guys don't mind that!

indeed, mega structures are sweet (more so when they are legit) I have loved watching this pack evolve, and I am super excited to see more of whats coming. :smile.gif:
This pack... makes me kind of depressed lol. Love it. Personally won't use it since I like my Minecraft to feel a little less like rehearsed suicide and more like bunnies and unicorns :tongue.gif:.
Absolutely LOVE the work though. Looks absolutely amazing.
a few small critiques, the brick looks a tiny bit plastic. The chest could also use a slightly more prominent shadow under its lock (to give is a bit of depth)

Changes are looking great, I agree on ever so slightly lightening the chests. As for the work bench, I kind of like it that way, looks good.
