*Drool* - This is looking amazing ozBillo; still waiting patiently.
Just as a recap -what have you "finished" in the pack? I say "Finished" because I know all artists revisit their work again, and again, and again....
Thanks, Luther. I'm still plugging away.
The ores and sapling need revisiting. But generally, all the textures you see in the first post are finished. Although, I just noticed that the bookcase isn't the latest one.
I've done the 3 rails textures and finished RedPower wiring. But I haven't added them to the first post, yet.
The new rails just didn't grab me. So here's the newer rails :smile.gif:
And I've updated the first post with the new textures (including the tweaked bookcase).
You are an amazing artist with the capabilities to create almost perfect realistic textures. The one thing I love about your work, is the fact that all the blocks aren't perfectly uniform, windows look perfectly battered and wonky and chest look round an realistic.
I have been lurking you thread for ages and decided today would be a good time ask you to join the TAU (Texture Artist Union: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/596421-texture-artists-union/). It is filled with a great community of artists that look out for and help eachother. :3
I've added the textures for RedPower Wiring and RedPower Core Alloy Furnace to the first post.
Screenshots of the covered and bundled wires are here and alloy furnace here.
Here's what the Blue Alloy Wire looks like...
Very nice work! I love the peeling paint on the boat. The cart in comparison feels a bit too perfect. Perhaps you can add some cracks and/or dents to the mine cart? You can also add rust surrounding the bolts and dripping down. I wouldn't even mind a missing bolt! Keep up the great work!
Aaaaand to continue the union onslaught. I have seen this pack around before but I must admit, much to my distress, that I haven't actually looked at it. This pack is great. I really think that the whole "things left behind/old battered feel" really fits minecraft. I'm not to sure how I feel about the...plastic?...wrapped around the redstone. It seems blurry and out of place. Everything else is awesome. What sort of experience do you have with digital art?

The boat is a return to the feel I was going for with the first few textures I did. I agree that the cart needs roughing up.
(Edit) But, I do like to vary the look. I don't want everything to look too similar.

You're right about the wrapping. Looks a bit like sticky tape. I'll work on it. Maybe old string?
The only experience is fiddling around in PaintShop Pro over the years.
About 8 and a bit years ago I did a drawing of Link and scanned it into PaintShop Pro and coloured it. Thought you might like to see it.
Changed the minecart for a more battered look.
Also, changed the wrapping on the RedPower bundled wires to rope.
Thanks to MopyDream44 and 42and19 for the suggestions.
See the first post for the textures.
(Edit) Updated the cart pic for the most recent version.

Awesome. I'll check it out!

Thank you, Thistle :smile.gif:
It took a few goes but I'm happy with how the wiring looks, too.
Thanks, MopyDream :smile.gif:

What mod are they for? I think you mentioned something earlier but I don't think I've ever heard of it.
They're for RedPower. An amazing mod that's getting better all the time.

Hmmm. It is a bit bright. I was going for a faded red.
Maybe this?
