Okay, so I'm not often fond of texture packs, there's the odd couple. however this, this caught my eyes instantly and still hasn't quite let go. I often avoid 64+ packs because they tend to just ruin the atmosphere, however this on is creating a completely new one instead. Brilliant work.
I would however, like to see your own sand, stone and grass/dirt texture.
I think I'd prefer this to be an old battered set than a pirate theme, something to give that nostalgic feeling to it.
Well done on this so far, can't wait to see more.
One more thing, in that last picture you posted, the cloth on the craft bench is off by what must be only 2-5 pixels. That might bug me a bit.

Yeah. I hadn't intended to make a pack. Just offer up some textures for others to use as they want.
At some point I'll probably make it a pack with all my own textures. But I take my hat off to the people that create full packs. It's a lot of work!
Glad I could be of help to you, I've made a couple of texture packs myself before, only published one of them and gave up on it. That was pre-beta. I've been wanting to try another for some time now so I think I'll go and give one a go again.
If you do go out of your way to make a full pack, that'll be brilliant. I tend to find remixes and mix-ups don't work to well as the styles and methods used cause a lot of controversy. If you don't make a full pack, that's all well and good too. I'm sure there will be more than a few people out there to benefit from anything you do make.
OH MY GOD! Please keep going! Never stop! Just keep going! You are crazy good!
You can have my liver if you keep going!
No, really! Take my liver!
Bookmarked, yo!

Thanks, HaX3. And I may take you up on that liver...
Ok, I think it looks better without the highlight too *take it back*. Uhm.. Will you consider making another window too, if someone wants to use it in e.g. a stonehouse
EDIT: Maybe like the window in the door. Square with a wooden frame.

One of the things I really like about Minecraft?
Texture Packs. It's like a whole new game every time you change textures...
The broken window looks perfect without shine. If you are worried about the grey melting into background of door frame, give the glass a touch of green, the shade that old glass bottles take on, or the pale aquamarine of Mexican glassware maybe?
The brass porthole is magnificent! What was but words is now right there in front of me, and marvelous to behold...
I'm not sure how one goes about putting alternate textures for the same block in Minecraft in the same pack, but the timber framed square to match the door sounds good too. I certainly don't insist on retaining a piratical theme, but the old-world weathered look of the bits you have done so far would still go well in that genre, aye.
Sandstone texture seems a good next target, if you feel so inclined. Need to have something to build wharves and warehouses out of...
I think it looked better without the shine, because it looked like the glass is blind (i dont know if its the correct word, i mean its very dull)
Thanks :smile.gif:
And there's a version without tools in post #5.
Yeah. I prefer the plainer glass, too. Looked more grimy.

Well spotted! I missed that.

There's some great artistry here.

Haha I are hax0r!
Yeah you bet! I don't need that bull!
It's amazing how just a few tiles can create such an evocative atmosphere.
Thank you, HeadHunter :smile.gif:

Yep. Definitely :smile.gif:
