Ha! It had to happen eventually! I finally found a real error - the Disembarking Track from Railcraft can be toggled with a crowbar to switch eject direction. If you change it from default with BoS on, the texture changes to the purple/black square pattern.
Thanks for letting me know. It's hard to keep up with all the mod changes that affect the textures.
Here's a new texture for the Disembarking Track...
Put it in the assets\railcraft\textures\blocks\tracks\ folder.
And check to make sure it's called track.disembarking.png

My wife has been trying to get me to use something other than Battered Old Stuff for more than a year. She's thrown dozens, nay, hundreds of texture packs my way. None of them holds a candle to your work.
Speaking of, know EBXL added a bunch of stuff lately.
Hi Harley
Have you noticed if any of the changes break/remove the BOS textures?
And are there any of the new textures you'd particularly like me to do?
Hey ozBillo, I have a longstanding Resource Pack Review series where I take packs that I really like... and walk though them pointing out some of the awesome stuff. After one of the mod's here (13thMurder) suggested it, I took a look at Battered Old Stuff & loved it!!
I've only reviewed the core pack as my review world is vanilla, but please let me know what you think of the review! Oh & if you do like it, please feel free to post a link to my video elsewhere as well.
Great review, Dante. The most thorough one I've seen. Thank you.
The only textures I think you overlooked were the grass and dirt. I put a lot of work into those
I'll add a link to the video in the first post.

Thank you, Dogmatic!
BOS is not for everybody but it's fans are very loyal!
Man, after starting to play MC again it really makes me happy to see this is still being updated. It used to be one of my favorites
Thanks, DeathStar
Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to work on textures (or even play Minecraft) in the last couple of months.
But, the updates will continue. Just a bit less frequently.
Bill, any chance you could be convinced to skin traincraft or modular power suits?
Traincraft is already on "the list".
I hesitate to add Modular Powersuits as it looks like it's mostly skin textures. And a lot of them are already very detailed.
I popping by to say even old rusty things need love not to be thrown away for something shiney and new. I've used this pack before and it is certainly unique which puts it at the top of the all time great texture pack list.
For a pack called "Battered old stuff", it certainly has some nice textures, like the bed for example.
It looks gorgeous in my private pack, seriously great work.
And the bricks are the best I've ever seen, they look exactly how I want bricks to look, I seriously love your texture pack.
Keep up the good work!
I love the new Bricks and Planks texture. It reminds me of German and Austrian alpine construction techniques. Maybe make then a biome specific brick texture; taiga comes to mind.

(koo-star-neek) The real numbers are countable and I CAN prove it. Cantor was wrong!

Thanks, kyctarniq. I was hoping there was some vanilla bricky block that wasn't used much. Because, I wouldn't want to be limited to a specific biome to use that texture.
Brick slabs are a possibility. I think then you'd only see the new texture if you stacked 4, 8, 12, etc brick slabs. Otherwise, you'd just see the normal brick slabs. I'll give that a try and see if it works (with Mcpatcher only, of course).

Actually, double brick slabs could be used. I use this trick to add special textures for things like my Doctor Who pack.

Double Brick Slabs seem to work okay. What do you reckon?
It does make it a bit more of a pain to build a wall of them, though
Beautiful new content there, oz! Love the new connected Double Brick Slab texture...I can see many uses for that.
How you doin' with the new 1.8 textures? Please tell me you're not ready to immediately upload everything when a 1.8 MCPatcher releases, that would tip my panic right over the edge.
Great work as ever, mate. Nice to see familiar compadres still battling on.
Like Glimmar I am in the 1.8 update panic also. I am nervous the new MCPatcher may not appear in short order. Patience will likely see me through on this concern.
I am excited to see what you will be doing for the new doors. Love your art.

Thank you lots, Glimmar. Your supportive feedback is very much appreciated. I have so little free time lately and I feel like I'm serving up crumbs to people who just want a sandwich. You've helped
I haven't even looked at the new 1.8 textures. But, I know there's new doors! And I really do like doors

Can anyone suggest a better block for this texture?
