Congrats on the job, mate. Also been enjoying looking through all your textures, just in basic Minecraft of course (no mods, so I know I'm missing an awful lot of work) and your skill amazes me, Oz. I don't think anyone puts as much effort into detail, especially all the stonework - things like sandstone, stone, cobble, etc. I'm very envious of your stone bricks still.
Keep up the excellent work and don't burn yourself betwixt job and texturing...it's very easily done.
no but seriously. this is pretty amazing, just waiting for the default Mobs and stuff to get done. of course that must be pretty difficult considering the question "how is a sentient being going to be worn, rusty, or weathered?". Im sure you will amaze us with some wonderment of your talents.
an idea or two?, the idea of having your hostile mobs be a bit grimy or decayed might flow with the concept your skipping rope with(not to get too morbid with you I hope >.>).

Love the texture pack. Hoping for a lava and maybe a water retexture sometime in the future. Being a Thaumcraft user, I'm very glad this exists, all the tree and stone textures are awesome.
On a side note, I'd like to point out something that happens in my game (sorry if someone already told you about this): my Compass has no animations, so it ends up not working/moving. For me it is no big problem since I use a minimap system, but someone might rely on the Compass to orientate oneself through the world.

Thank you, Glimmar.
That kind of feedback from someone I highly respect means a helluva lot.
And it certainly helps me juggle my time with a lot more purpose

Thank you, DoomDog
I appreciate your enthusiasm and your suggestions; grimy and decayed are two excellent words
My focus does tend to wander a bit.
But, I will do some more work on the mobs soon.
The vanilla skeleton's retirement is long overdue!

Thanks, Elphoenix.
I'm glad you're loving the pack. Particularly the Thaumcraft textures!
The lava texture isn't far off.
And thank you very much for bringing the compass problem to my attention. I've started working on a fix for that.
Still my favorite texture pack here. Doubt you remember, but I posted a while ago about an issue I have with it, though - When using a mod like Biomes O Plenty, the grass doesnt color like it should. For example, using this pack, the purple grass in an Ominous Woods biome looks like the normal green. I quit playing Minecraft shortly after I posted that here before, so I don't really remember if there is a way to fix it, and that was several MC versions back. Also, it doesn't happen with other TP's I've tried (even though I never end up using them for long, like this one too much!)

So.. any hints? Is it possibly an Optifine issue?
Hi nukularpower
Yep, I remember.
I did some tests back here and it was working fine for me with MCPatcher.
It could be Optifine. I'll do some tests with Optifine shortly
Ah, right. Thanks again - I've never had any luck getting MCPatcher to work with Forge. Guess I'll have to give it one more shot (again! ) I know you aren't here to support MCPatcher, but as it does seem to work for you, can I ask if you are installing Forge with the MCP interface? Or do you just patch it, then install Forge?
Anyways, thanks a lot for all the built-in mod support here. One of the things that makes this my favorite pack!
Edit: Nevermind, found the Forge + MCP instructions
Edit 2: After working through this for the 2nd time, I see now my problem, once again - MCPatcher doesn't work with the Shaders mod. Guess I have to choose between colored grass and shaders... yeah, shaders win!
Edit 3: Hmm, same problem even with just McPatcher (got sick of the world holes from Optifine, so ditched it..)
Must be some other mod, I guess.
edit 4: sorry for the edit spam, just wanted to say happening even with no texture pack at all. Definitely some mod messing it up, sorry for the confusion!

Ok, I found something else to whine about. Hooray!
It seems that (at least in the 1.6.4 version) the textures for Netherbrick and Netherbrick Stairs are totally different, and clash very harshly with each other. Here is a screenshot of what I mean:
I really like the "dark" texture that the netherbrick stairs have there. The icon for Netherbrick shows a similar texture, and it even looks similar holding it in hand, but when you place it it has one that is quite different, as shown in that screenshot. Is there a way to switch between them or anything like that?
Thanks again
edit: nevermind, found that slabs have the dark texture. foiled again.. Thanks for the answer, though!

If you delete the assets\minecraft\mcpatcher\ctm\block112 folder, then, all the Netherbrick will look like the darker bricks on the right.
Ha! It had to happen eventually! I finally found a real error - the Disembarking Track from Railcraft can be toggled with a crowbar to switch eject direction. If you change it from default with BoS on, the texture changes to the purple/black square pattern.
That aside, as may be clear now, I love this pack, especially because of the awesome stone and ores, since I tend to build in mountains and such. I do have one general problem, however - the washed out colors make it very hard to distinguish between the icons for dirt, cobble, gravel, oak wood, etc a lot of the time. I know it's the theme of the pack and everything, but have you ever considered a version that is less, well.. battered and old? If I could combine the wood color palette of say, Broken Anachronism with the everything else of this pack, I would be one happy camper
That said, this is still my favorite pack, and have been turning others onto it as well. Thanks especially for all the awesome mod support built right in.
Put the file in the computercraft/textures/models folder.
