Just added a version for Minecraft 1.5 and Snapshots.
Using snapshot 13w10a, I've tested 64x and 32x versions with and without McPatcher. Works fine either way. Of course, you will only get connected textures if you use McPatcher. Not sure about animation. I haven't rebuilt Gort, yet
(edit) I've removed all the mod textures from this version, for now, just to keep the files a little smaller.
If you have any problems with this version, please let me know.
I forgot about this texture pack it used to be my favourite pack. I will have to start using it again. i love how far the pack has come from what it used to be. Good work and keep it up!

Hey, Pricey_P! Welcome back
I'm looking forward to your feedback.
hey ozbillo, do you think bump mapping would work on your smooth stone if it was made, or does the parrallax occlusion code typically just look at the block ID and not the texture offset its using?

Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for the night. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Not sure, TaeoG. I don't know how it currently works in Minecraft.
Maybe, ask the bump mapping mod guys. It would have to work hand-in-hand with mcpatcher/optifine, I'd think.
Sir, this is fantastic work that you're doing with this pack. It surely gives a specific atmosphere to MC world. I absolutely like how you did the grass foliage. Lot of texture pack artists somehow seem to forget that grass is actually connected to earth.
However from what I see it's still a work in progress, so if you accept suggestions i'd like to throw some, all of which are just my humble opinions:
dirt looks too much like gravel and I'm actually mistaking those two quite often, it (dirt) should be more brownish.
cobblestone has too much of that fake bevel/emboss/3d effect on it with light from top left. Minecraft doesn't support bump mapping natively and lighting works in very basic way, so those effects look a bit weird, out of place and the intensity of them hurts eyes a bit.
currently cobblestone doesn't play well with normal stone, it'd be nice if it connected more smoothly
oak planks - i'd lighten them just a bit, 3-5 points maybe, and added more... yellow maybe? I'd make them look more in the color of fences.
That's it for now. I'll be enjoying this pack now, so maybe I'll come with some more suggestions.
Cheers and best of luck!
If I run Optifine and AA I have some trouble distinguishing dirt and gravel in the inventory. But, it's never been a problem for me in the world. An early version of dirt was browner. I'm pretty happy with how it is now.
I assume you're referring to a recent version of the pack. Cobblestone has been revisited many times. Most recently only 3 weeks ago, specifically to fit in better with stone. I spent many, many hours on it that time to get it to the point where I was pretty happy with it. I'll live and build with it for a while, now, and at some point I'll probably revisit it. I'm sorry it hurts your eyes.
The planks I quite like. There's a certain kind of dark weathered wood I really like, and that's the look I'm going for with the planks. But, they'll get revisited, too, at some point. All varieties.
New Update for Minecraft version 1.5...
- added NetherQuartz Ore connected textures
- added Comparator, Daylight Sensor and Hopper
- added Dispenser texture for new orientation
- new texture for Iron Bars
Great work with this pack. Would fit in a "World War" map. That 1940's look is awesome.
But hey, your Nether Quartz ore is not seamless. Would you'd like to use my Nether Quartz ore texture for that one?
There are 2 varieties of Nether Quartz in the pack (and 2 of Netherrack).
A connected version that is used when MCPatcher's (and eventually, Optifine's) connected textures are enabled.
And another that is used if you don't run MCPatcher or Optifine.
Here are 4x4 block samples of each. Both are seamless, in my definition.
Also, the Netherrack under the quartz will blend into surrounding Netherrack, in both cases.
This is the same approach I use with gold, lapis and iron ores.
- added Swampland Door and Window textures (MCPatcher only)
(why the big grin, TaeoG?)
- Birch Wooden Slabs now use the "fruit box" textures
- included textures for Steve's Carts, ComputerCraft, Iron Chests, CodeChicken's Ender Chest
Thank you, qwerty
