Sheesh... Thanks, Golrith. But, Misa's textures are awesome. I stopped looking at them a long time ago (too painful) because mine will never have that level of quality.
I've started working on the IC2 textures. I like how my Railcraft detector blocks look, but I want IC2 to have a unique look. Haven't found it, yet.
Thanks, again
Your textures are almost as good. There's a great amount of detail there for a 64x resolution.
What might work for IC2 is to have the machine blocks painted, but have this paint being worn down. A rusty metal look wouldn't look right. When you do image searches, the machines tend to have a solid coat of paint all over them. Start with that, then have metal showing through, flaking paint, grime around output areas, etc, etc to give a well used but still working machine look.
Key with with IC2 is that the blocks really need to look unique for their function. I started with Sphax, which uses a lot of large bold icons, then I found one by T42 which has metal blocks and details, but the details are a bit overwhelmed by the metal, making it difficult to identify what some of the machines are at first.
Loving the CC textures, I really enjoy the rusted iron edging to a lot of the box type textures, its one of the things that really makes this pack more of a cohesive whole than many others imho.
Thanks, Obs
I like how those blocks are looking, too.
The IndustrialCraft stuff will probably have a similar look. I've tried out a few other other styles for IC but a variation on the rusted iron edging seems to be working better at the mo.
Was checking out your textures last night, was very impressed with the RedPower textures. Assuming in RP2 when available the texture sheet hasn't had a major redesign, I'll be using those textures in my gameplay.
Could you make available a non-rusty version of the computer (as an alternate)? The turtle texture is great with all the rust, but I feel the computer should just be battered, not rusty.

If there are any changes needed in the next RP2 I'll try to get onto them quickly.
Here's an alternate terrain.png and blink.png for you to replace the ones in the dan200/computer/client directory of the Battered Old Stuff zip file.
They're still a little rusty

They look perfect! Just the right amount of rust too. I would use that metal block style for IC2 (with light rust alternative version if possible )
Only thing I'm not sure off, just by looking at the texture file, not in game, is that the reflection in the screen obscures the green text.
New textures for most of the ores (including RedPower ores).
This has a big impact on the feel of MineCraft.

Supports the RailCraft 6.11 changes (new textures just defaults for now)

Cool
I don't think anything is ever displayed on the computer screen (other than the blinking cursor).
I may be wrong about that.
Thanks, Bonnis
Me too!
Supports the RedPower 2 PR6 changes (new textures just defaults for now)
Thank you, Fochis
Just a little bit of Xmas
Are you tired of my boring old stone texture??
Coming soon...

Hi LutherAD
It's made the game a lot more fun for me.
But, now I spend much more time exploring and digging in the depths
