Thanks, 42and19 :smile.gif: You're right about the wrapping. Looks a bit like sticky tape. I'll work on it. Maybe old string? The only experience is fiddling around in PaintShop Pro over the years.About 8 and a bit years ago I did a drawing of Link and scanned it into PaintShop Pro and coloured it. Thought you might like to see it.-snip-
That is very nice. :smile.gif: I almost feel like he is going to poke me in the eye.
Changed the minecart for a more battered look. Also, changed the wrapping on the RedPower bundled wires to rope. Thanks to MopyDream44 and 42and19 for the suggestions. -snip- Updated the cart pic for the most recent version.
Very nice! So those are for a redstone mod? I should check that out sometime.
Please tell me we'll at least have a customizer soon, I'm getting antsy and Ovo's Rustic just got cancelled. I'm running out of good 64x packs.
Hi aranamor.
I've started adding Battered Old Stuff to minecraftcustomizer.net. But I'm getting a flash or javascript error when I try to upload. I think I'm not alone.
Just thought these kinds of things would fit well to the worn-down style and old-feel that your set is aiming for; what do you think?
I think it's just me that's feeling worn down.
But, they're good ideas. Let's nick down to the Chaser Inn and try a few beers while we talk about it :smile.gif:
I also think the water is a bit bright. Your textures are so realistic, so I would go with a very muted blue or even just grey out a little bit, so you you can see the inside walls of the tank....I don't know if that made sense lol.
The pump and mining well look awesome! I'm looking forward to using them.
As for the tank - to me, the metal corners seem too wide, and the glass level indicator seems too narrow. But that may just be my own aesthetic on it.
As for progress - while I understand that many are eager to use a complete base pack from you, you are an artist. Work on whatever inspires you first, and leave completion as a secondary result. Those who've never worked on textures don't realize how that goes. I'd rather see more of the fantastic work like you've done recently, than to have you burned out from trying to make all the "mundane" stuff remaining in the base textures.

"Don't know why you should feel that there's something to learn... it's just a game that you play."
It's the red level indicator - it's really harsh against the rest - try "rusting" it up a bit; perhaps even replacing it with something as simple as Black (Except that won't work with Oil...)
ozBillo, I'm loving the work but if I could make one point - I'd rather play with a complete base set now and await the Mod extras (Which I love that you're supporting) rather then wait X extra months to get a HUGE and COMPLETE bundle
Yep. I get that. I guess I'm just doing the fun stuff coz I'm stressing about the job hunt.
But, here's an interim texture pack. It's got the stuff I've done so far and shown in this thread. And for the stuff I haven't done I've included resized versions of the originals. Also, it's got the lunar eclipse texture I did from this other thread.
I apologize in advance if I've stuffed up anything or included things I shouldn't.
It works alright for me, but, let me know, good or bad, how it goes for you.
And don't forget it needs McPatcher which you can get from here.

That water wasn't my texture. It was a tweaked version of Misa's but NOT part of my pack.
And, unfortunately, you can never see the inside walls of the tank. Even when it's empty. That's just how Minecraft shows the texture.

Don't know why but this texture pack reminds me of Bioshock alot. I like it!

Added a texture for water.
Moved the old fridge door from alternates to the iron door texture spot. Great for making a food dispenser (see here).
Added a Victorian floor tile texture to the light blue wool spot.
Updated the first post with the new textures.
That is very nice. :smile.gif: I almost feel like he is going to poke me in the eye.

Yeah, that's much better.
Cool. I've updated the first post with the new texture. I hope Thistle likes it too.

Sheesh... that's a long list. No additions, unfortunately.
Hi, sluisi. Wotcha been up to?
Thank you for your patience and positive feedback :smile.gif:

Mining well...
Pump...
Tank...
[Edit] The tank looks weird but I'm not sure why.

Thanks, HeadHunter :smile.gif:
I think you're right. Plus, it looks like wood and I was going for faded painted metal.
I'll fiddle some more.
Appreciate that :smile.gif:
It's not a complete pack, yet, but there's an interim version in this post. No guarantee, etc.
Thanks, Cypher :smile.gif: That game's got a great look.
No problem, Luther. You'll still get your ice cream.
Good to know. And I'm looking forward to the screenies.
