I wasn't too sure which section to put this in, but I felt I might get some good advice here.
Basically, I made this:
Any suggestions? I'm aware that it looks grainy, and the lighting enhancements are imperfect, but this was my first pixel creation... help me do better? Also, how would I go about formatting it to function as actual armor? I am aware that it needs to look like this:
But, how do I get it there?
Any advice/suggestions and feedback are very much appreciated. Thank you. :laugh.gif:

all I can say is try to make the armor look like it as best as you can, theres no real way to take what you created and simply put it on a minecraft armor like that. one last thing i can say for the diamond armor is have one light source not multiple lightsources because that makes it look weird. are you making a texture pack to go with this?
The first thing I'd like to mention is that this is in the wrong section. I see no texture pack; only a generic robot pixel and the texture for diamond armour.
The second thing I'd like to mention is that your robot looks way too messy. It's hard to see anything with all those black lines everywhere. Your lighting, though better than some I've seen, is a bit off. At least there's no pillow-shading... Or any that stands out too much. Also, since this is such a small sprite, I'd advise (possibly) getting rid of the borders. Small sprites already don't show much detail, and by adding that outline, you're just making it that much harder to give them that detail.
And the last thing... Your diamond armour's lighting is just bad. Don't shade along the outlines. Shade where needed. Look at something in real life (a face, for example): where are the darker areas? Where are the lighter areas?
