This was a project I started a while back when qBicFeet released qPack 2. He re-invented his own texture pack, but still offered an old and not up-to-date version of the classic. I took it upon myself and with expressed permission by the author, I updated, cleaned up, and fixed qPack classic to retain the same feel all while updating it along with Minecraft. After several releases, and with the sudden discontinuation of qPack, I feel I'm ready to release qPack Classic into the wild as its own entity.
For you qPack veterans, this is a complete throwback into the beginning days of qPack, complete with a recompiled and completely hand made "blocky" simplicity based on the original qPack. Each pixel has been hand made by me to bring the aged pack into the modern age of Minecraft, and includes all of the new features that have been released.

For you newcomers, welcome! Why don't ya take off your shoes and relax a while? This is a complete strip down of Minecraft's look. This is meant to push the boundary of simplicity and create its own, new kind of beauty. I believe that this pack originated with real character and that I have carried that feel into this new era. I realize there are several blocky and "8-bit" style texture packs out there, and there are many of great quality, so feel free to try, and make suggestions or give me some tips/point out errors. I love feedback, and just hope that even 1 person likes this as much as I do.
NOTE: This texture pack is the default 16x16 and will work without any modification to the base game. In fact, disable the HD texture fix and custom water/lava fix IF you want to use this pack correctly. Water and lava are original and I won't change that for the foreseeable future.
If these screenshots don't tickle your fancy, I recommend downloading the pack as well as downloading this Save File file and taking a look at all the blocks without investing much time or taking much time from your own save file. :smile.gif:

this texture pack i actualy pretty nice
only thing is the blood on the sword doesnt look too good :sad.gif:
besides that its great
Thank you :smile.gif: I have been reworking this pack for a long time, making everything coherent to itself and trying out various styles for certain blocks. Now that Biomes are working properly it really pulls the pack together.
And I'll look into the swords with blood. I liked what it looked like and it was brought over from qbicfeet's work and thought it should stay but I'll give it a careful review. Thank you for your feedback. Every little bit helps.
Its a good texture pack, but there are far to many "simple" texture packs, idk, after looking through these forums everyday it seems there are tons of them... great work though.. but still, a bit to many of these are coming out and it is sorta like spam on the texture pack page... idk, just my opinion..

I respect that. And agree to some degree. There are a ton of simple packs. And really, the original I started from was 16x16 and I wanted to keep it that way. I don't want users of this pack to need to use any extra programs to install this. And I really hate making "complex" looking packs in 16x16. So I decided to leave it this way. If even just one person likes this and uses this, it will be worth it :smile.gif:
Hey all, just wanted to say thanks for the support and downloads. Hope you're enjoying it. I released 1.7_2 which addresses the floating bed texture. Everything should look fine now. Just download and replace your old version.
Best simple pack I've seen (and boy have I seen a lot)
I know what you mean. The goal is unmatched continuity throughout the pack and a higher quality than most simple textures. I have put thought into each and every pixel I place in this pack and that's exactly how I want people to see it. That there is effort and forethought between the entirety of what they will essentially be staring at for possibly hours or days at a time. Thank you for your kind words.
Alright, released for 1.8! Should look pretty slick now with all the additions and finally got around to other stuff I wanted to do within it. Will be tweaking a couple times however as I haven't tested every last detail.

1.7 is OUT!
Still got some work to do but it's progressing and usable. Check it out. Leave me some feedback?
Thanks,
V
This is V. 1.7 and will work with all sub-versions of 1.7. With the current version being 1.7.3.
Thank you! Please do give it a go, and lemme know if there are any issues with it :smile.gif:
