Glad you understand now. Remember the striped pistons in the Classic pack? They were never in a released version, only a screenshot, but they were added, so this Ruby texture might also be added as well.

Looked at the first TeamMojang made showing the WIP pistons, it has the current texture. Then I found the tweet jeb_ made and saw the first screenshot! Was the sticky piston texture just an assumption? Cause there is no screenshot of the sticky piston.

That's what I always thought. In my own pack that I'm working on, similar to this, I kept the sticky pistons to the default texture, since you can't verify it, but 2XMM2 made them striped in Nostalgia Craft it for consistency.
Where is the old damage sound? I'm sill getting the annoying knee shattering noise.
have another resource pack over or are using 1.6 version with 1.7 versions of mc it works fine also try redowloading

The thing with this pack is that it makes minecraft feelbrighter and happier... I love these old textures even though I didn't play back then
I use mid-beta, because i started in 1.5_01! Not really when it came out though. I was using this and realized it didn't change some textures, Probably a mistake
I first bought Minecraft in 1.5.2, and been playing ever since. My point being is i've never played beta or alpha Minecraft, yet i LOVE the resource pack. I have played beta and alpha in the new launcher, and boy were those the good old days.

And as Cris_Art_32 said, would it be possible to make the old chest models too? And perhaps the old wall-torch model, the one that is slightly twisted instead of being rotated?
i think new cobblestone sucks! it doesnt even looks like cobble, ya i can agree with oldest grass colour, it was too bright , new rose *urgh* poppy drawn very poorly , but new grass the way too dark . Also , new sponge looks awful, Lava looks like carrot soup , but other textures are ok for me

Also, you should try use MCPatcher colormap to change swamp biome color so it looks the same as regular biome shading.
