Your friendly neighborhood Kingpin here...
Any plans on supporting mods in your wonderful texture pack. If so, id love to see your take on LoafCat and FISHY. Links in my sig. Keep up the great work.
It supported CTM in the 1.6 version, but I'm working on adapting it for my Steamcraft mod. I'll have a look at these mods and see if I can't work something out. I'm away for a week, though, so not right now.
I'm guessing you like Anime. The anime looking stuff in this texture pack is amazing. That's why I like this and it makes Minecraft feel.. You know just all weird and animeish.. It's a great texture pack!
The obsidian, as I have stated before, has 2 alternatives if you use the customiser. I suggest looking at those.
I kind of agree about the lava. I was using Rayman 2's lava style for reference, and I think it works for small areas, but it does tile poorly in large expanses. I may make an alternative.
I do kind of like the opaque water, though. I wanted to convey a similar style to The Wind Waker with the water, so I wanted to keep it reasonably opaque. Again, I may make an alternative.

My apologies, I wasn't aware these alternatives existed.
If that's what you were going for with the water, you did pull it off pretty well.
As a side note, a cell shading shader with the GLSL mod seems like it would be fantastic with this texture pack, though I haven't tried it yet. It was just updated unofficially to 1.7, and the post is on one of the more recent pages. I also think bump mapping could work well on some of the blocks you've got (especially the ores), though I think specular mapping probably wouldn't look to great on most of them.
I'm not very good at making bump maps, but I do want to try the cel shading mod. I wasn't aware that the GLSL shaders was updated beyond 1.6, I'll have to have a look.
EDIT: I can never seem to get the unofficial updates of that mod to work... oh well >:
I Love it mate :biggrin.gif: My only concern is I have trouble at times reading the font! It just seems a little cramped at times but that's still in progress so that's ok :smile.gif: Other then that I do like it :smile.gif:
I'm extremely picky when it comes to font, and I agree. I think the problem is that it's too wide, possibly monospace?
The width of the font has nothing to do with it. Minecraft assigns squares for each letter, and how much space the letter fills in the square makes no difference to it's placement. The issue is with HD fonts in general. I have no idea what causes it, or how to fix it, but I will probably include an alternative font for readability.
Ya know this has to be my favorite texture pack there is,It was realy well done and i enjoy useing it :biggrin.gif: .Bad thing is i have some extra items and blocks in my minecraft that stand out so maybe ill do some config....if i can xD
I wish I wish I was a fish.

Though, I'm not a fan of the obsidian, and I think the lava tiles poorly. I also kind of wish the water was less opaque.
But, other than that, these are absolutely fantastic textures.

The black and purple obsidian is actually really nice.
Sorry for the long rant. I've already stuck my foot in my mouth. :sad.gif:
