Pardon me if this has already been asked but what program(s) have you been using to create this fantastic texture pack?
Forgive me if it has been asked =)
For the most part, I've been using Macromedia Fireworks (MX 2004). My version is a little buggy, though, so for some textures I've switched to an older version of Photoshop. I know Photoshop is technically a better program, but I'm more familiar with Fireworks, and it uses .png as it's default save, which speeds up the process somewhat. I have also used MS Paint in some cases, for rescaling parts of objects without distorting the pixels (I can scale an entire image in either of the other programs, but not, as far as I know, a single layer).
Looks great. Also, I hope you are not offended by this, but thanks for the idea. I was a bit... stuck on the cracked stone brick for my pack. (It won't be much like yours at all, I just like the idea of broken and missing chunks)

Check the previous page! I've already started work on the 1.8 blocks! I had to redo the Pumpkin, because of the addition of the Watermelon. It's a shame, though. I liked the Watermelon face.
Can't wait for the update. I'll be able to use DokiDoki with it soon. :biggrin.gif:
It will probably take a little while for me to update. I'm making a few textures now, but there are some that I have no idea what they are, so I'll have to wait for the update to find out.

I also may need to change the chest texture.
Hmm I do wonder how the lock on the chests are going to work, texture wise
Do you know?I like watermelon
From what I can see, it looks like it's going to wrap the texture around a model. Practically, what this means is that lock textures will have to be exactly the same shape and size as the default one.
Make the "watermelon" pumpkins orange with still the face, and just add a face to the watermelon! So you have a orange/watermelon looking orange with the face as a jack-o-lantern, and then a face on the watermelon! Or something.. I love the faces <3. Can't wait for the 1.8 textures/update! :smile.gif:
I've made a proper pumpkin, but the Jack-O-Lantern still has the original face. I'll make alternatives with the original pumpkin texture and a watermelon with a face texture.
Hey, I saw you said you didn't know what some textures were. I figured some out!
The red and brown things under the pistons are the 'cap' textures for the new giant mushrooms/mushroom trees.
The texture below each 'cap' texture is the 'stalk/trunk' texture for the 'cap' texture above it.
The monorail-lookin' thing near the lava is the town border (may or may not be implemented). To the left of it I think will be footprints, and to the right of the border I think will probably be mold/moss.
I likely don't have to point out the brick, melon and iron bar textures. :tongue.gif:
Hope I helped!
Yeah, those ones next to the break animation were the ones I didn't know. I'm also not entirely certain about the new vines and what looks like "cracks". I don't want to start making new textures before I know how they'll be implemented, though.

The bottom vine is a wall vine, the top ones are gonna be vines used for melons/pumpkins. :tongue.gif:
I finished my 1.8 terrain.png so far! :biggrin.gif:
Although I'm not too sure about my melon. ;_;

I removed the "WIP" from the title, since that is really no longer the case. I also updated the mod support section to show what I'm working on. Going to sort out 1.8 first, though.
Have a quick mockup from some of the 1.8 textures I've been working on!
I see...I actually rather like these, I would suggest varying the moss a bit since it kinda looks like you have grass growing from underneath the bricks. I also noticed how you put some sort of stone deep within the shadow of the cracked bricks, very original. Adds an extra dimension of sorts.
Please don't quote the entire first post...
Forgive me if it has been asked =)
Just here for the forum games
