Since I'm going to release Steamcraft v0.3 soon, I'll try and update the textures for this to fit with that before I release the next version.
Chainmail is done, as are most of the Aether items. I now have Aether mobs and a couple more random Aether graphics to do before I can release the next version. Sit tight.
it has taken me way to long to come and comment about how good this pack is. It has a great cartoon feel to it. If I had to critique it I would say that Obsidian is strange looking, but perhaps there is reasons behind that I'm not aware of.
strongest point is easily the sand, looks fantastic!
great pack proloe.
p.s. I get a kick out of reading your comments round the forums, you beat me to the punch every time hahahaha.
The obsidian has two alternatives for those who think the default looks strange. In fact, sometimes when I make alternative textures, I like the alternatives better than the original. In this case, my favourite obsidian texture is the firey one, rather than the default shiny one.
Just a quick thing I forgot to mention. The version on Minecraftcustomiser.net is not yet compatible with v0.3 of Steamcraft. This is because the website has not yet updated to support v0.3, and so it will only work for v0.2.2.
Words alone cannot describe how awesome this is. I recognize almost everyone depicted on the front and on the paintings. Hachune, Haruhi, Ika Musume (<3), the one chick from K-ON! (can't remember her name :happy.gif:') Konata, (hell yeah) Rebecca Miyamoto, Guu, Yotsuba, and Osaka. HOLY SH-- OSAKA.
I am an otaku, if you couldn't already tell. X3
The terrain is the best though. Everything is smooth, colorful, and not medieval. I hate medieval/old-timey texture packs that have smoothstone look like cobblestone, and torches that are tricked-out with curves beyond recognition. But I digress. Everything tiles perfectly, a characteristic that is missing from many texture packs. Lastly, I can recognize almost everything. I know what's stone, what's iron, what's brick, what's sandstone, etc. What you claimed you wanted to do with this pack, and what resulted, are one and the same.
You sir/ma'am, win.
The only reason I probably won't be downloading this is because: As great as this texture pack is, it's a little too cartoony for my taste. Additionally, I can't say I really like the waviness of the dirt and stone. I am very picky about texture packs. Don't get me wrong, I thank you with every inch of my otaku soul for making this. (Just please don't eat that soul)
^ See what I did there? X3
In closing, this texture pack meets my taste, but doesn't satisfy my desire. However, you did an outstanding job on this pack. I cannot stress this enough. Thanks again for making this.

That was completely uncalled for. If you don't like the theme of this pack, don't download it, simple as. I'm perfectly happy to listen to any complaints about the pack itself, but that comment was wholly unnecessary.
You know, there's just something about the Yui picture that I have something against. I don't know what it is, it's just... I dunno. So odd looking. Huh.
Anyway, love the pack! Dai-Gurren-Dan logo spam is a good thing in most cases, it's a more-than-good thing in this case, however. :tongue.gif:

This is where people normally put stuff about things nobody bothers reading.
I like to think of myself as a pretty alright guy.
Personally, I'm not 100% happy with the Yui picture. The Ayu picture is also one I'm not sure about. I can't pinpoint exactly what's wrong, though, so I just left them.
And on the subject of the Dai-Gurren logo, of course it's a good thing! Who the hell do you think I am?

Curse PremiumUse the customiser to change it! I personally use the Firey option.
Aether is not yet finished, but I'll continue working on that.
64x version
32x version
Customisers will be updated in a few minutes.
You are amazingly fast... are you magic?Magic people die 0.0
Yeah still an awesome pack
Not magic, just bored. ;D
I've finished the Aether items and armour. I have the mobs left, which will take a while, since I need to test all the textures.
Since I'm pretty useless at the Aether mod, I'll probably only test a few of the mob textures. The rest I'll just make and hope for the best.
i'm guessing it says light? my kanji isn't great =P

Some mobs took a very long time to get right (*coughvalkyriescough*), but, thanks to SPC, I managed to test the majority.
Also a new version with Chain Armour textures complete.
