Hey there! I was browsing around looking for a decent cartoon-style texture pack, and none of them were really what I was looking for. So I made my own!
Be sure to check out the customisers so you can get the most out of this pack! Or use Minecraftcustomizer.net. Be sure to favourite the pack!
This pack is now available in 32x, with all mod compatibility and full customisers! The 32x version does not have the original font, as it would be completely unreadable at that scale.
I make this pack (as well as my mod) completely in my free time, with no income. If you want to support, please donate:

Ah, love the wavy feel of the dirt and stone.
Are the leaves done, or are you planning to do stuff to them? (hope so :tongue.gif: They could be more defined and cartoonish. :wink.gif: )
And while the coal is very nice, the iron, gold and diamond seems too flat. The shapes and colors are nice, but some depth perception could really make things shine.
The leaves were a little half-baked. I made a leaf texture and my image editing program crashed as I was finishing. As such, I just copied an older texture I made for something else and rubbed out random sections. I'll probably redo them later.
I think the issue with some of the ores is contrast. I'll see what I can do about that.
Proloe, you are certainly one very multi-talented individual. Not only an excellent modder of great renown, but an awesome artist too!
Well I'll add my encouragement to the others above and say you really must finish this, but how you'll have the time to do so on top of SteamCraft I can't imagine.
I love the stylised nature of the textures and my absolute favourite single texture on display up the top is your coal...just so 'chunky' and probably one of the best tiling ores I've seen yet.
An oft used statement, I know, but definately keep up the good work on this.

To be honest, I'm taking a little break from Steamcraft until my exams are over. I'll still update it, should Notch feel inclined to release a new version of Minecraft, but I don't have the hours of consecutive time I need to add new content at the moment.
I did a little work on the leaves and the diamond ore. I think both look better now. I have a couple of new screenshots too!
Some of my favourite textures here: Sand and the Dead Shrub. There are a couple of Torches too!
Here's some Glass, Planks and a Bookshelf. Little bit of trivia: All but the first 3 books on the bookshelf were modelled on real books I have in my room! :biggrin.gif:
And here are the new leaves, with fast graphics. As you can see they are much more defined.
And here's them in fancy graphics!
That's all for now. Will be back later when I've done a bit more (there are quite a few purple textures floating around, and I'm trying to avoid them in the screenshots).
My only suggestion: Use daylight or torches to your advantage when taking screenshots. We can barely see some textures because you haven't lit up the area surrounding it (coal, iron, gold, diamond, bookshelves).
Yes, I know. Unfortunately, in the earlier screenshots, I had no Torch textures, and had to suffice with lighting from behind (which didn't work too well). The later ones were taken pretty quickly. When I have more of the pack ready, I'll take some better screenshots.

Yeaaahh, I figured you would say that, heh. I'll definately be following your progress with this pack because, like Glimmar said, the ores tile very nicely. Also, the sand: sexy.

Thanks! I always had an issue with ores in the default and a lot of texture packs because they almost always appear in veins, but are quite often textured as a single object, so they don't really work as a group. I wanted to make mine some that tiled effectively, but could still be seen as a single block. It seems to have worked.
This looks absolutely amazing!
You have a very distinct style in this pack and it would probably be one of the few 64x packs that I like and use.
One suggestion though would be to add a teensy bit of shading to the bottom of the sidegrass to make it seem less like a sticker on the side of the block.
Anyway, awesome work so far and I look forwards to its release and completion! :smile.gif:

Only thing I'm not feeling are the leaves. They don't look like leaves. That would be the thing I have a problem with. ;P

Btw. I made my avatar Graphic, Do not steal. Or use without Meh permission.
