I'v been making a Portal 2 texture pack for a long time now and i'v tested it by putting a copy of minecraft in the texture pack folder, yet after 1.6 right after the splash screen the game crashes. I even added the HD fixer found here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/232701-529-item-fixes165-compatible-mcpatcher-hd-fix-210-01/

And got that working and the game still crashes when i try to use the pack. I really don't get how a texture pack is crashing my game, because if you miss a file like the mclogo.png or something minecraft just replaces it with the default mclogo.png

I could really use some help! I'v worked really hard on this pack, and to see it all go to waste is making me cry.

remove minecraft from the texture pack folder, minecraft may be mistaking it for a texture pack.

Downloaded the pack and loaded it up, worked fine for me. Could be you have:
A. An outdated mod installed crashing your game
B. A broken mod crashing your game
C. Blocks in your world from a mod you no longer have installed, therefor crashing your game
Other than that, I'm not really sure.

I have no mods :/ and I have never used any.

and your the second person to have it just work, WHATS WORNG WITH ME?

@ wannabelennon254 i have already removed minecraft from the texture pack folder.

I need help.

Delete your entire bin folder.

Patch your game using the patch you linked to.

Put "Aperature Science.zip" inside your ".minecraft/texturepacks/" folder.

???

PROFIT!

Thank you to all who replied! it was the mclogo.png that was making the game crash!
