Hello, all! This is kinda my first texture pack, well, my first 100% texture pack. It's a basic theme involving patterns and a large amount of... A pop-out sort of feel. My inspiration was Frenden's pack, and I've used his pack for quite a while until I started this one. :biggrin.gif:
As you can see, my pack has come from using multiple styles of patterns and embossed textures. I.E, the cloth and the iron/gold/diamond/glass blocks. My goal here was a simple, clean, yet very colorful pack that brought interior, and maybe exterior, decor to a newfound limit. So because of that, I went from a mossy cobblestone to a cracked, worn cobblestone. I may have a mossy as a replacement in there in the future, but for now, this texture pack was a long trip of pixels.
I know I stated hoopla about a theme, but if you look... is there truly a theme? It may have one, but where I was going with this, it didn't need a theme, in my eyes. Eh, sure, it could be an aesthetic theme, or a pop-out theme, but all in all, I just made each individual block what I wanted it to look like. Something unique, but not at all over the limit.
-----------------------------------------
What you can't see is the sheer range of biome colors. I shouldn't say "sheer," but I will anyway. The tundra/taiga becomes this greenish blue, and the desert becomes Autumn, a bright orange color. I will be making an alternate biome texture, if anyone requests it, for a more toned down change.
You also can't see the powered minecart tracks, I apologize for that, and with the way I created them, I find it really hard to explain. Along with this, the GUI. I DID remake the GUI, and a brief description... The background is a cross-layer of the Minecraft terrain. Grass at the top, and slowly getting darker as it gets lower and l- ... You know what, here's a picture:
Open the terrain.png from the pack in a paint program, and the same for these textures, crop, drag and drop the textures to the corresponding texture you wish to switch out. (Mossy cobble -> Mossy cobble you want to replace, etc.)
You truly do? :laugh.gif:
I wanted it to be unique, and realistic at the same time, along with tropical.
I asked myself "Why would the water be blue when there's nothing in the water to make it blue in the first place?
I also used my own pool at my home to give me inspiration towards it. The lining is a light blue, which makes the water look light blue, and I can still see the lining design at the bottom. So I made it the same for Minecraft. It's still visible, but not blue when it shouldn't be. :biggrin.gif:
From the looks of it, looks great. I'll check it out. =D
EDIT: Oh my amazing. This is amazingly amazing! I'm amazed with this pack. Lol'd at the clouds too. =P
