It has everything from a patch or two ago; flowers, hard clay, fish, etc. But keep in mind it's very buggy so I wouldn't suggest playing with it. This is mainly for people who want to continue the pack. Good luck!
Levaunt, Could i have your premission to make the thread and continue this pack with a community project?
Quote from Levaunt»Nope, change of plans on all that. Mythros has moved to a different texture pack as working in a pixel art style was taking too much time for them, and I didn't have the time to continue helping.
Also I just don't have the time to help out on this. I made some textures a few weeks ago to try and fill the gaps that were missing, then a new patch came out and added tons more. That's the main reason I stopped on this, I could never really finish it! Art is supposed to be finished damn it! So the next chance I get I will upload all the stuff I have, and honestly you guys are free to do with it what you want.
That's right, I am giving permission to anyone to use any and all of my textures (Derivation or otherwise) in their own pack, or a continuation pack. I'm not going to update the OP, or announce this anywhere else. I don't want there to be a bunch of "continuations" or "remix" packs of Derivation out there by random people who just want to 'piggy-back' on my art to get recognition. I just want you hardcore fans of the pack to work on it. So if you want to make your own topic to continue the pack, please do, and just cite this if anyone says you are stealing it.
Thank you all again for the great support. All of this really helped me as an artist, and I only hope you will be able to say the same at some point.
Which is why I'm still posting here instead of making a new thread. I know I don't have time to completely take over but I've been working on some small things here and there and trying to do things like reorganize the ctm and files for the new handling system that Kahr has been working on with MCPatcher or finding out what we are still missing so we can try and get a complete pack. I'm sure that if a group of us that have been around and can mimic the style got together and worked on it, we could have a proper continuation work well, like with Dokucraft. There are many talented artists here and I'm sure we could make Derivation the #1 RPG style pack if we all worked together.
So, I want to be able to play Crash Landing with everything in the style of Derivation. There are quite a few textures needed to do that though. So my question to all of you, is anyone willing to help out with making some mod support? One of the biggest things would be support for Chisel mod. I'm already doing some work on Exnihilo, completed the single sheet for Spice of Life, and have previous support for Iron Chests (which I may do an overhaul on to make them look nicer).
They look good, something feels a little off about them when I'm in game though. Might just be me. Are you working on a Jungle wood door to complete the set?
well it isn't just the birch door that I felt some things off about. Although your vanilla-esqe designs with derivation flair are nice, I feel they don't fit with the kinda medieval-fantasy theme that the pack portrays. Don't get me wrong, your doors look great, just when I look at them in game with many builds, they don't feel like they belong completely. Nothing wrong with having alternate textures though Who knows, maybe as we continue to grow the pack we may end up with enough alt textures to utilize a customizer.
I know I've said this before but sincerely-from the bottom of my heart-thank you for all the effort so many have you have put into it. I'd love to follow those who may continue the work but Levaunt..your work is so inspiring. I've had such a great time using this pack ever since it was first shown to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for all the amazing memories your work is part of. I wish you the best in whatever you do. May love be your guide, and serendipity your constant companion.
Ok I will continue doing things and bring it here and who likes, then take (Aww ****, I talk so bad xdd)
Can you post your properties file for the fences. I've tried quite a few different changes to get the ctm on them to work but to no avail. I'd like to see what you did to get them to work.
So I'm not sure why but I downloaded the final version, which downloads as Derivation_Final.zip and my minecraft isn't detecting it as a useable resource pack. Any suggestions?

unzip it and put the folder in your resource pack folder, not the zip file. should work then.

Is there a continuation of this pack somewhere? I downloaded the final version and went through a few posts to add some more textures but it would be nice if there was a thread somewhere with an up-to-date pack.
Really, why can't this just have a continuation thread like JohnSmith, DokuCraft, etc? I hate scrolling through pages of posts looking for textures. Is it that hard to compile them into an "official" continuation pack?
I made an account to help with the pack. I have seen some kind of continuation thread, but that's been inactive for about a year, and since people are putting their things here I thought I should too.
I don't have everything done yet, but it's plenty. My aim now is to get them to match the pack as much as possible before I create more, unless other people out there are willing to fill those missing textures in or improve existing ones. I'd like to know how well they fit so far.
Great work SonicXEmeald. I'll be using those in my pack. May tweak a few things to get a better fit, but a great starting point. It also clears a few things off my lists of "things to work on"

It is far from feature complete but as of Sept 2, this is what was complete.
EDIT:
Here is a birch door design I'm working on
It's a shame that alpha transparency doesn't seem to work right on doors
