Different stylewise?... Isn't the purpose of a texture pack continuation to keep it faithful to the original? People should be adding in textures with the updates and making those new textures fit the pack, not changing the pack to fit the new textures. Even if there would be radically different textures to choose between in a customizer, what's wrong with letting the users decide which ones they want?
Style wise, the continuation items (at least what I've been working on) is true to Levaunt's vision based on his last official release. Yes, as far as some of the stuff the community has provide (such as some of the Mythros blocks) do not completely fit the style and need work as they had photoshop brush work done to some and are not actual pixel art like the rest of the pack. Levaunt has stated that he is not passing this off completely to the community to continue. He is more involved with the continuation then for instance Doku is with Dokucraft continuation. If he doesn't approve of a texture, it won't go into a release, simple as that. Everyone is more than welcome to post what they have made, but that doesn't mean it will be put into the "official" continuation releases of the pack.
If you are talking about the original version of the pack, Levaunt changed the style of the pack drastically from cartoony to a more "realistic" pixel art rpg style. So older textures from the original updates of the pack do not fit whatsoever in the current style of the pack. As far as a customizer goes, not gonna happen. For one, there is no good pack customizer anymore, and two, the minecraft customizer website that everyone used to use didn't update past like Minecraft 1.3 because of so many changes.
We are not changing the pack to fit the new textures, we are creating the new textures to fit the pack. In fact, the red sand and glass texture design I posted, was created by Levaunt. All I did was update the color of the glass design to fit the pack. The stone textures, are recolored from the stone and ctm texture made by Levaunt. I will be going and creating new textures in Levaunt's style for the pack to complete missing textures, including using some edited versions of things from the Mythros releases to make them better fit the pack and to remove the photoshop editing and make it more pixel art in style. Again though, all the textures are being made in the style that Levaunt envisioned. We aren't changing anything and are keeping the pack faithful to it's design.
I don't suppose anyone who has been following this up to now has an updated pack with all the latest additions/changes? It's a bit confusing to go through the thread. Not trying to be lazy at all. I deeply appreciate the work being done on this because this is how I've come to see minecraft, and I'd be pretty sad if I weren't able to use this pack anymore.
I just wanted to give you guys an update. I've been really busy with work and just started back up at school so I haven't had time to do a lot of texturing. I'm hoping I can find some time to work on a few things soon but at the moment idk when that will be. I'm hopeful that we will see an update from the Mythros team soon that will sort out some of the missing textures.
I really like this texture pack but have one problem. I noticed the yellow flowers now have random colors and looks. So when I pick up say a blue one it is actually a yellow flower. Though it gives the world a nice look it is confusing when looking for blue flowers to make blue dye. How would I go about either giving the flower, dandelions I believe, its original look or locking it to just yellow.

What you need to know is that the pack is not currently up to date. It's compatible with the 1.6.4 update which did not feature all the types of flowers yet.
As the 1.7 added many blocks and biomes, be sure this will be corrected when/if the pack comes out

First of all, I don't understand what you're saying. Try speaking in English, even bad english will be understood by more people than a foreign language
Then, as I appreciate the work done here, I'm pretty sure you were not allowed to release it in this way, because it's named like an official continuation, which is not, and you do not own the original textures done by Levaunt, but he will probably speaks his mind himself.
Finally, the red sand is affected by classic sand CTM, which mismatch the red sand's color.
Had a little time to work on some stuff. Here is a basic hardened clay I've been working on. Not really happy about the normal uncolored one but I like the rest. http://www.mediafire.com/download/spdsbvycn543p1j/Hardened_clay.zip
Hope you guys enjoy them. Smooth block with vibrant colors, just as you requested from the straw poll a few months ago.
Home sick from work today, that's what I get for pushing myself too much :/ Had some time to work on some stuff again (couldn't go back to sleep unfortunately) So I found some mutton items in the BTW mod support and I cleaned them up and made them better fit the pack a bit. Enjoy!
Because there is no official continuation. The pack belongs to Levaunt, all the community is doing is providing textures they've made to try and keep it alive. Full maintenance of the pack since Levaunt has left falls to the Mythros team, basically any textures we post here that they like and feel fit for the Mythros project, they add to the new "official" packs. Everything else that doesn't fit their needs for the project is available here in the thread for people to make their own version for personal use and not to be distributed anywhere. The official Mythros versions are released here http://derivationrpg.com/
Nope, change of plans on all that. Mythros has moved to a different texture pack as working in a pixel art style was taking too much time for them, and I didn't have the time to continue helping.
Also I just don't have the time to help out on this. I made some textures a few weeks ago to try and fill the gaps that were missing, then a new patch came out and added tons more. That's the main reason I stopped on this, I could never really finish it! Art is supposed to be finished damn it! So the next chance I get I will upload all the stuff I have, and honestly you guys are free to do with it what you want.
That's right, I am giving permission to anyone to use any and all of my textures (Derivation or otherwise) in their own pack, or a continuation pack. I'm not going to update the OP, or announce this anywhere else. I don't want there to be a bunch of "continuations" or "remix" packs of Derivation out there by random people who just want to 'piggy-back' on my art to get recognition. I just want you hardcore fans of the pack to work on it. So if you want to make your own topic to continue the pack, please do, and just cite this if anyone says you are stealing it.
Thank you all again for the great support. All of this really helped me as an artist, and I only hope you will be able to say the same at some point.
Well damn, that makes me wish I had more time to texture so that I could help maintain a continuation I know I wouldn't be able to do as well of a job as you did in creating the pack but whatever I can manage to contribute I will. I understand how you feel with it feeling like you never complete the art, it's one of those things where you have to imagine it as an ever growing canvas. It's like the roof of the Sistine Chapel, it's a massive project that takes a long time to complete.

Edit - Found this 8 day's old tweet where he talks about his packs so...
@Levaunt - Sorry, I don't allow anyone to re-upload my packs, edited or otherwise.

That palette was always available for public use.
Thank you!
Thanks! I've never done any github stuff, wouldn't know what to do. Anyone else is free to set that up for whatever continuation thing you guys do.
