Levaunt has left us a gift, he linked me a WIP stained glass and red sand. I've spent a few hours working on converting all the remaining colors. I also have a simple polished version of the new stones. Still have some tweaks to do but here is an album link so you can see what we've got
Alright everyone, it is about to be midnight my time. So in 24 hours I will be closing the poll of what style Hardened Clay blocks we should have.
Get your final votes in before the poll is closed.
Okay! Poll is now closed. The winner was smooth blocks with rich colors and it won by a single vote. That is what I will design next after I finish adjustments to the glass and the new stones. There are just some minor tweaks that I need to do and test in game, shouldn't take too long once I can sit down and work on them.
Well I'm really busy so here is the glass and the red sand. http://imgur.com/a/wIJfa#0 they are all in the gallery. Make sure you save as a png to keep the various alpha transparency levels on the colored glasses. I will try to finish the stones soon. I have to adjust some of the ctm blocks still and make a few tweaks for the Diorite. A glass pane side is still needed for each of the glasses but I'm not sure when I will have time to make a suitable one for the new frame. If anyone would like to take the lead on that so that the glasses are more or less complete, I would appreciate it. Also I'm not very good at making the fish icons, I've tried several times and they came out hideous. If anyone can make the remaining fish it would be a big help.
The current glass side should work well enough, as it also made of wood.
Also the colors you chose for the glass, I feel they are perhaps to saturated to match the feel of the rest of the pack. Try referencing other textures in the pack, like the wool colors maybe. For example; you'll note I never use pure white ever in the pack, but you used it in the white glass.

Yea, they were quick recolors so that we could have something to use. I have to go through and tweak them still but between work and life I just don't have the time to sit down and balance it more for the pack right now Basically in my free time (the little I have) I'm trying to get all textures up to date so that we have a full pack ready to use for 1.8 when it comes out. Which means having to go through and deal with a lot of old 1.6/1.7 stuff that came out after you stopped working on the pack. Once I have some more time and I have something basic at least for all blocks/items, gui updates etc.. I plan on going back and tweaking certain blocks/items, working on ctm, making some more original blocks. Work has just gotten the better of me lately though and my free time to sit and work on textures is close to nil. I will go back and tweak the glass at some point though.
Hey jetstorm, any news on the textures you were working on?
I haven't had a chance to work on them. Been busy trying to get my car fixed, working full time, and trying to get my live streaming up and going again. I'll try to take a look at them this week and see if I can get things sorted.

No worries, I know life has a way about it. It was just a curiosity and an impatient desire to have some type of update, haha. Hopefully everything works out for you and you can get back to doing what you like.
Well I fixed the few blocks that had consistency issues and while they are plain and only recolors of the normal stone, we at least have something for the new stones. I also included the smooth versions.
I'll probably try to make a more decorative block for the smooth versions later on, or maybe some brick block variations? idk, might do a strawpoll for that decision Either way, enjoy the stone and glass! Also I included Levaunt's Red Sand texture in the zip file with the stones. If anyone wants to help out with getting the pack updated, send me a pm and we can figure out how to split things up.
having troubles downloading the 1.6.4 pack... can't get anything above 25kb/s of speed, and the stream just cuts off eventually.
the 1.7.9 version won't transfer any better
where's the DL server located? is there any mirrors available?

Programming was supposed to mean simplicity... then, Mojang showed up.
I've noticed that some original textures have been changed. I think there needs to be a customizer so we can choose between original and community textures.
It's been talked about before. Not gonna happen. There used to be one, but it's textures was too different stylewise from what we have now. (I think that was the reason?)
Different stylewise?... Isn't the purpose of a texture pack continuation to keep it faithful to the original? People should be adding in textures with the updates and making those new textures fit the pack, not changing the pack to fit the new textures. Even if there would be radically different textures to choose between in a customizer, what's wrong with letting the users decide which ones they want?

I will try to sort out the color issues with certain blocks of the new stone ctm's tomorrow night if I have a chance.

the folders are the ctm files and properties, the rest just goes into the textures>blocks folder.
