Very nice, I especially like the jar of spider eyes. The jars in general actually. The full stacks of coal/charcoal seem like a small step backwards in that after them finally getting individual texures, they end up with the same one again once they're stacked. Still, we've dealt with that before, and pretty much everything else is more than awesome enough.
There were no changes to texture pack format, or additional textures added between 1.5 and 1.5.2, so yes, this pack is still up to date in 1.5.2.
Texture packs generally have more leeway than mods do, in that barring a major overhaul (such as the recent texture format change) it will continue working between patches, they'll just be missing any textures the author has yet to update the pack with.
New snapshot gives a unique texture for each of the log tops as well as birch leaves and pumpkin/melon stems. I'll be interested to see how MCPatcher handles the resource pack changes with CTM and CIT.
I suppose I'll have to come out of the woodwork to get the pack compatable with the new system.
I'm also sitting on a whole bunch of new textures that I haven't released yet.

The new unpatcher thing actually does a pretty good job although your stonebricks will have to be renamed once converted as the unpatcher converts them into your cobble texture and uses the default minecraft texture for stonebricks. Easy fix though!

OOOOOooo, I like new textures... I could use some new textures > You should give us some teasers
I really liked the old dyes that were the labeled vials, I think that an updated version of those would be awesome for some mod support or as an alt. Anyone else feel the same?
@JetStorm Is there an archive of old versions of Derivation? I only started using this back a few versions ago when BTW support was added by Orc17/Kezza
Could you make official textures for the Minecraft Pocket Edition exclusive blocks ?
There is no Nether Portal on Pocket Edition. We need to create these devices called Nether Reactor, by placing Nether Reactor Core, Gold and Cobblestone.
When you activate the Nether Reactor, all the cobblestone gets converted into that Red Obsidian texture.
The dark blue texture is a depleted Nether Reactor Core
The red texture is an active Nether Reactor Core
The light blue texture is an unused Nether Reactor Core
It has been stated by the official newsfeed (shown in the launcher) that the 1.6 will arrive next week !
Have you moved to the new ressource system yet ?

I'm afraid I barely have the time to keep the original version up to date, so I can't exactly forgo that for a less popular version.
The current chest was made after they were changed, so that doesn't even exist. And the old chest graphic doesn't really go with the pack anymore.

Not yet. I wanted to try and make some more textures for new stuff (mainly horses) but not sure I'll have the time. At the very least I'll run the current version through the converter so it at least can run.

I was asking because some changes were made like tree tops having individual textures (1) without using CTM, and there is no MCPatcher for now. I was curious about the kind of pack you'd provide, but I assume it'll be a basic one until MCPatcher gets an update to work with Resources Pack.
Makes me wonder what popular texture packs will do in regards to resource packs. Will they continue to solely produce art, or do they partner up with other content makers to add sounds and other potential resources?
It's another step in the direction of a complete modding API. I don't really care about the inconveniences with the texture format - the pros outweigh the cons.
That is a very interesting idea, and I believe it could add a lot more depth to any texture resource pack.
