I haven't done the saddle yet, I kept putting it off because it wasn't useful. But now that we have ride-able pigs and horses I'll have one for the next update.
I've never made a post to a texture pack thread before; but I have to say, I really love your pixel work. As a pixel artist myself, I envy your use of colour. That's always one thing I struggle with. x3
I thought I should mention, though. I downloaded the v5.2 version of the pack, and. Is it missing the terrains file? I have previous versions downloaded already so I can just paste that one in the zip; but I figured if you didn't know it already.. that file can be pretty important. :<
Make sure you are using the latest version of minecraft. Mojang removed the terrain and items png, and now have a folder for each with many images for every texture.
^Definitely. Coal takes up a fairly large section of my storage area. Depending on if coal blocks are made of 4 or 9 pieces of coal, I can finally consolidate my coal down to 1-3 double chests.
Hey everyone! I just got back from everyone's most/least favorite military course and I was excited to come check out my favorite pack. I have to say Levaunt, all the changes look top shelf as per the usual. I was very excited to pick up on the mod support I had started, however there is a slight caveat. Apparently my good computer decided to completely eat itself, which includes most of what I had already finished for Thaumcraft and a few smaller mods. So I am going to pick up on something different for now on my backup laptop and I already have a couple good ideas of where to start. I did notice that a few people are already doing/finished mod support however I couldn't find anything comprehensive on what you guys already hemmed out.
This isn't a complete list nor is it a promise to do it all, mainly just stuff I would personally like to see or attempt. If anything I listed is already done or being worked on give me the heads up so we aren't doing the same thing! On the flip side if anyone wants to give me a hand on any of these it would certainly speed things up. Otherwise I can't wait to get started!
Given the success of the game it's pretty inexcusable. Especially when you consider they have hired several artists for their other games.
They can hide behind "but it's retro" if they want, but the game looks like garbage compared to almost every retro game that uses pixel art.
I look at it this way, the venilla textures are like an old nes game....and Derivation....well thats like Snes.....so with this texture pack, and a couple mods i'm playing "Super Minecraft" and I do love me some super nintendo!
I might be seeing things, but it seems to me that the quartz stairs, are slightly darker and have thicker lines then the quarts blocks, its seems to look ok from the front, but from the side its much more noticable.
Also I was wondering if top/side CTM is planned for the redstone and emerald block like youve done with golds, lapis, and dimond. I would love to see this.
Evening everyone! Alright so I decided to do some work on the very cool Castle Defenders mod by Azurn! I've got quite a bit done already and now I am mostly tied up with the mobs.
Here's a preview of what I have
From left to right its; Knight Block, Mage Spawner, Archer Block, Enemy Mage Spawner, Enemy Archer Spawner
The normal blocks from the mod are pretty plain so I decided to stick with the same type of relatively simple and easy to recognize design. I also was going for a chiseled item look, first time I have given that a try so let me know if you see any issues. I know the enemy archer block is a just a blood reddish recolor of the mossy stone, however since they are supposed to be a little tough to spot and the enemy castles are straight stone I thought it worked! I've got a few of the mobs done and ill post them sometime later! Let me know what you guys think, criticism welcome!

The emerald block will have a different look and CTM sometime, as for the redstone I think it will stay the way it is for now.

Thanks! I think it would be a great idea to setup a mod support post, hopefully we can keep this thread clear for comments and concerns for your main work! I am not sure who is currently working on anything right now or who would like to be. So anyone who would like to try and organize a Derivation Mod Support thread let me know and we can figure it out!
Call me crazy, but it might just be because 1.5.2 didn't add any new textures.
Unlike mods where any small changes to the code could mess something up, texture packs only have to worry about new textures being added (with a few exceptions such as the recent texture format overhaul). Even then, with the new texture format, all that'll happen is you'll get a few random vanilla textures until the texture pack updates.

love this pack! featuring it in my rpg/survival server!
i will be posting some pictures of my server buildings with this texture pack, the building are inspired by oriental civilizations, but there are many other "normal" buildings because there are so many people in the server

PS: i have a suggestion for you Levaunt, i use and love this texture pack and as a fan of World of Warcraft i see that the armors are from the game (diamond armor is a pally or warrior Tier, dont know what exactly, plus the golden armor is a pally tier too), their are really nice and well done but... can you try something more original?, something created and imaginated by you or the community! (please, dont take that suggestion bad, i am trying to be the more friendly as i can but i am spanish and my english is not good)
The project I've been working on for a while now is about half done, but I need help! It is an adventure map that will feature this texture pack in an interesting way.
I'm looking for a redstone engineer and a builder to help out. If you think you can help out, please go to this thread. Or post here and/or send me a PM.
