I kinda like it, CTM would help to have the threads overlap in different areas. The highlight could maybe be toned down slightly and maybe lower the saturation slightly overall. Whatever you change wool to look like will of course take some getting used too, it would also help if we had more colors to play around with rather than just red so we can see how it ties in with builds.
I'll add the mods you've supported to the OP, thanks so much for the help!
I hope to see a lot more mod support for this pack. I'm also going to be checking out your "Pixel Art Explained" post and see if I can pick up new pointers. Currently, my ability to make support for blocks and such is limited, so it'll be good to read up on possible ways I can mimic your style to aid in such. I feel like I can do the GUIs well enough though, thanks to your PSD.
Oh, and if the OP gets too crowded with mod support, you can always create a peripheral thread to this one solely for mod support.
I've created a very small html page on dropbox where I'll be putting all the download links for mod support textures I do. You can find the page here.

I've been meaning to ask you about those IronChests textures. How are those coming along? I could do the GUIs if you need or would like any help with that.
I just need to find some time to tweak a few things and make the upgrades/icons. I have the gui's done for the most part. I just need to tweak them a little to fix a few issues I noticed. Just a little busy with IRL stuff, can't do much texturing ATM.

Alright man. I figured I'd offer just in case. Really looking forward to the support! IronChests is pretty much on of those must-have mods for me when I have time to play. Keep up the good work. I didn't comment on your screenshots (like 3 times now..) like I'd meant to; I personally think they look fantastic.

I used to maintain the Minecraft Forums Mod List. However, life has stepped in the way of that. Perhaps later...
Also I'll take any suggestions for CTM on the wool, whatever the design ends up as.
Loose threads! Definately some loose threads. Maybe some stains. I would suggest rippped patches, but then you're locked into what the substrate of the wool (rug) is on (wood, stone, etc).
My only other comment is that as a building block to add color to builds or create the Tudor effect, this pattern seems like it'd be way to busy for use on walls or anything but rugs.
The random CTM ideas are good, but I was thinking more so ideas for the borders of the wool. Wooden frame, or stitching, etc.
In other news, I'll try to get some screenshots later today or over the weekend of new things, including random grass textures, and the start of new mushroom biome stuff.

Thanks. There are a few stray pixels I want to fix but beyond that, I'm pretty happy with them. If you want to remake the GUI's, go ahead. I didn't even notice the psd file Levaunt posted until after I made them. Just be aware that the Diamond GUI is a bit of a pain with its spacing.

Ooo nice. Can't wait to see them. A border on the wool probably wouldn't look all that great. Give it a try and see if there is something that looks good for not only large areas but for single blocks as well. Maybe something to make the edges look hemmed together?
Hey Levaunt, that teaser is splendid! A suggestion for you to consider, you could add buttercups and daisies in patches of grass just as you've used the random ctm for the grass variations. Of course, this would have to be a rare occurrence, unobtrusive and only really apparent in select grassy biomes.
The fibrous, stitched nature of the wool is gorgeous and I look forward to seeing how you handle the edges if you ever implement ctm connectivity for it.
Triple threat screenshot preview! Wool, grass and sky!
It's hard to tell, but the grass has 7 variations, and the clouds move horizontally across the sky.
Nice! Woot for grass CTM, been wanting that for awhile now
The clouds look awesome, can't wait to try them in game!
As for the wool, the colors could use some work. These sets look to close to each other in the screenshot
Magenta - Pink
Light Blue - Blue
Green - Lime Green
Dark Grey - Black
It might just be me but for those I think they need a bit more contrast in their hue and saturation.
------EDIT--------
Been working on a few things, here is a peak at the Uranium and Amber ores
-Gravel when next to a grass block, has the edge next to the grass covered with grass so it looks like it has grown over the edges.
-Random tufts of grass mixed into the gravel and set it to have those only appear between layers 55-120 (should allow the effect to occur within the high up villages that appear in mountain biomes with FTB)
-Random pebbles in dirt blocks
-More flowers of various colors and types.
-Crafting table sides (different tools, shelves, drawers, rolls of schematics)
-Clay CTM
-Sides/tops of melon/pumpkin (different faces for jack'o'lantern, stems on tops randomized in direction..)
-Sides of Cactus (small "arm" coming out of a side, one with and one without flower buds)

The only problem with this is grass gets a color overlay depending on biome. So any colorful flowers would just end up looking washed out or out of place. Any CTM I add needs to be a green thing to begin with.
For a cloth border, I'd imagine a woven pattern would work well generally.
If your specifically going for carpets, I'd choose tassels.
I would like to have an interesting pattern on the edges, but I'm concerned that will only ever work for carpet floors, and look odd anywhere else. I don't see many people using wool as carpet in builds.
CTM Ideas for you Levaunt.
-x-
Just a few things to give you some ideas.
I'll get to your other post first; I like the looks of the ore, and in that screenshot for the wool I placed some of them twice and with the different lighting, it may be hard for you to see the differences. I'll post the actual textures later, so it'll be easier to see if they are too similar.
As for the CTM suggestions: I thought there still is no way for CTM to know what blocks are near another? I like the tufts of grass idea better. If I add pebbles to dirt, that's essentially what gravel is, I don't want anyone to confuse the two. Flowers I agree, but the colors won't vary too much, as I want them to still be noticeable as red and yellow.
Crafting table is a good idea. I have actually already made a whole new clay, just working on getting the color right and then I'll add some CTM to it. Also will likely do something with melons and pumpkins, though I'm not sure I can picture the cactus idea working.

Hmm, yea, might be your monitor, I can tell the difference fine on my end.
As for wool CTM I put together two images to portray two different types of potential edge stitching.
Just food for thought. I was thinking of patterns that would suit a variety of wool block uses. In the diagrams the thread is a darker colour of the cloth, but white or black depending on the colour might be cool too.
I vote for the second one, with the stitch traveling over the edge. *nods*

Unfortunately no, I've decided to stick to this pack. I think I would rather have one full 'perfect' pack than many small incomplete ones.
Been a while since I've posted any textures, I'm trying to get a good wool design going, what are your opinions on this:
Also I'll take any suggestions for CTM on the wool, whatever the design ends up as.

I should probably do this, I just get frustrated making cobwebs, they never come out the way I want them.
