Levaunt - One thing that could help with EBXL support is a 2x2 log top. I've been trying to make one but it keeps looking way too much like the Dokucraft ones. Also a variation of spruce leaves to use for the Redwood and Fir trees. Right now I just have the current spruce leaves rotated 90 degrees for the Redwood and Fir's.
I can do that, I still have a slight interest in that mod so I'd love to contribute some support to it.
As usual, everything looks great! Congratulations to you also, Plenty_of_Fish. I was just wondering... When will we get these awesome updates you've been doing, Levaunt? I can't wait for them!
I'm still trying to finalize a few things, but it also depends on when the 1.5 patch comes out. I'll either release my update when the pre-release hits, or when it actually releases.
Also about the mod stuff Plenty and Zamaj have posted, I'm loving everything, I can't get enough of it! I'll admit I was worried about people making things that at least went alright with my style, but I have to say you guys are nailing it!
I should also mention I am going to make a lot of weapon textures for another project, and they will be in the Derivation style. So I'll release those when they're done in-case they can be used for mod support.
I agreed with Greevir about the marble. It was way too much like tile, especially when you find it in a cave. I wanted something a bit more natural. So I did some recoloring and tweaking to one of the smoother stone CTM blocks.
have some simple Silver, Copper, and Tin blocks too
Good news That's Jeb's post yesterday for the latest snapshot. He says 1.5 pre-release will be next week which means 1.5 will be out in 2 weeks and if you scroll down to see a reply message from him, looks like we are confirmed on getting some new mobs for 1.6!
Levaunt - Love the new carrot and potato stages! Can't wait for 1.5 to enjoy the full update for the pack
Hey Levaunt, I'm curious. You had told me on twitter that you've completed CTM for mossy brick and mossy cobble. Is the CTM only for the sides of the blocks? I'm just wondering because John Smith has CTM for the tops of the blocks that are like randomized bricks or cobble stones coming out of the grass that look great as paths. I think doing something similar would look amazing with Derivation.

There once was an image roaming around.
He looked for himself but he couldn't be found.

Made a Basalt Paver and Chiseled Basalt too
High! Ho! The snip is my bro!
No offence, but I don't like any of those.
The marble is too dark and looks like strange lines that tile terribly, the ore blocks are obvious recolors which aren't even colored in tune with the ores, and the pave + chisled basalt are also obvious recolors of other "pave" and chisled blocks.

The marble uses the same colors as the pillar portion of the Lapis CTM, the ore blocks actually use the colors in your ores for silver, copper, and tin, and how is the 2 basalts that I made any different from your obvious recolors for marble, basalt, marble brick, basalt cobble, basalt brick, nikolite, rubber tree, and rubber leaves?

I see what you're talking about, and it does look pretty cool. However I'm concerned it will look very odd when it's not used in that one specific way. It would also look weird in a different biome, as I have very different grass colors in each. I could make the moss on the top thicker and more abundant, but for now it's the same on all sides.

With CTM isn't there a method that when its next to a certain block (i.e. grass in this situation) it would use the specified texture vs when its used as a building material of a wall? That along with custom color data for the specified block should allow us to have it change the grass color on the cobble/brick to where it would blend together. Maybe not perfectly but to something where it would be close that you wouldn't notice so much unless you are really looking for a difference.
Yes, because when you take a rock and smelt it, it will stay the exact same color.
And as I said, I will be redoing the recolors if Levaunt doesn't.
Also, keep in mind that all the basalt textures I made are chunky, while you made chisled and paved based off of cut stone, which isn't as chunky.
Your basalt things just don't match with mine, that's why I don't like them.
You do realize that PAVED and CHISELED stone tend to be smoothed before being worked on right? The rough/chunkiness of a material would be carved down into a smoother surface and then be given beveling and decorative carving.

Easy! Make the grass grayscale (or slightly tinted, whatever your current grass is) and use MCPatcher to do biome shading on it with grasscolor.png
Hmm, okay. Well maybe I'll make a suggestion for it on the Optifine and MCPatcher threads
BTW, have you completed the new gold armor icons to go with the updated worn textures?
I haven't yet, I guess not a big priority on it. I need to do the chain armor too.

I didn't know you could add biome shading to any block. But that would also turn the cobble parts green as well, and unless it could be face-specific it would also turn the other sides green.

No, just biome shade the grass parts and overlay that onto the cobble parts.
It was bothering me so I fixed the backwards feet on the chickens. Just save and rename them as chicken.png, chicken2.png, chicken3.png, chicken4.png, chicken5.png and replace the ones in the mobs folder and walla! no more backwards feet on the chickens.
LOVE this texture pack. The attention to detail is stunning, you really did not skimp at all, and it really shows. My default and always most favourite pack!!
Oh, and can anyone tell me what the differences between V4 and V5.1 are?

P.s. if I download this version http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/345738-32x-14x-derivation-rpg-v51-btw-supported/page__st__1520#entry19927015 versus the version on the OP, will I miss out on anything?
The blue box is still there for me in the version from the OP.
