Hey, I really like the texture pack, but when I use it I get this strange lighting bug:
Yes, I have optifine installed and yes this bug only happens with THIS texture pack (well I haven't found any other that does this, yet)
Anyone knows how I can fix this?
Just wanted to say how awesome this is. I've always loved RPG style packs and this is one of my go-to texture packs. It's not too grim; it's got a nice somber feel to it and I absolutely adore your items. The watermelon is my favorite; whenever I use Derivation, I hardly eat anything else because I just like looking at it haha.
Please keep up the great work!
(P.S. of all your mobs, even the monsters, the villagers really freak me out.)

That's very strange. Try going in the texture pack's zip and deleting the lightmap.png files inside the enviroment folder. That will revert the lighting back to default minecraft.

Thanks! Some of the mobs and especially the villagers are due for a makeover, actually. Just so much other stuff to work on too!

Pfft... "Optifine".
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"Some may say I'm 10 pounds of crap, but I'd say it's more like 11 and a half..."
So 4 of my friends and I found your texture pack here. http://www.minecrafttexturepacks.com/derivation/
We've been using it for a while now and we all love it.
So we recently updated our server to the new snapshot to test out the new stuff in minecraft.
With Minecraft 13w04a, your texture pack no longer works because each block and item now has it's own picture in a new folder.
Will you be updating this texture pack?
It's by far the best I've seen!
Its going to get updated. If you've read anything in the last few pages you would see that Levaunt has been having some computer issues and has been unable to do any texturing. It will eventually get updated, just be patient.
I love this texture pack so much!!! the artwork its so perfectly done, i cant almost notice is a 32x and cant wait till dragon texture is ready:) keep being awesome bro!

I read like the first 7 pages and I decided to post. lol
I'm in no rush, I was just checking if this one was still being updated.
I love it!
My urge to texture was to great, so I'm just going to postpone all the textures that I have done or mostly done that are still on my PC. Specifically: Witches, new villagers, new sun, some CTM'd things, new mushroom biome things.
In the meantime though, I will be updating the pack to work with the next patch. I really don't want my pack to be out of date solely because my PC is broken.

Could you also make a version compatible with the current patch?
I'd hate to miss out on things like Witches, new villagers and all the other stuff that shows up in the current version.
I think maybe you could CTM the tops of netherrack and quartz ore so the netherrack is in rounded pieces instead of long ones on top.
It'd give a better illusion of the rock being chipped off to create the shapes of the nether.
The light detector reminds me of the two zelda games for the N64 where you'd use a reflective shield to bounce sunlight onto blocks with a sun design on them. I love it.
You misunderstood. The reason I am postponing those things is because they are already completed, but on my PC which I can't use. So I'm not going to recreate all of them on my laptop, I'm just going to wait until the PC is fixed to add them.
Among those things is netherack I made already, almost exactly the way you described it. The top is just really smooth, and I used the CTM method so the edges are rough and cracked. I also have random spots of lava seeping out of cracks on the sides.

Just... don't mind me... I'll practice later...
By the way that's a really good tutorial, if anybody was looking for one.

Curse PremiumI'm playing BTW so I can know what my mod support with Nemo should look like.
(and using Derviation)
(and I'm a total boss because I got MCPatcher to work with BTW)
EDIT:
Levaunt, you should really update / complete your BTW support!
I can't see mutton or rotten arrows (and thats just in the first 5 minutes of playing!)
