Just thought I'd throw an update on my situation. My CPU liquid cooler has essentially sprung a leak. Luckily it doesn't appear to have damaged any other components, so I'm going to replace it with a normal fan. Depending on shipping times I'll have everything up and running in a week, assuming that is the only problem.
When my fan broke, I spent 30 minutes driving to Fry's Electronics and back and installing it... Lol. I don't like liquid coolant systems... I don't see why you would need one in the winter in Maine either. XD jk
What kind of computer do you have anyway?

It's homebuilt, which may or may not be part of the problem. I just posted my exact specs in a tech support forum, so I have them on hand:
I just replaced the CPU cooler today, and the PC booted up fine, but it was behaiving like it didn't have video drivers, so I restarted. Then it just turned on and off repeatedly, so now I have to figure out what's causing that.

From my experience, homebuilt computers are generally put together better than retail pre-built computers... Then again, the only pre-builts I have experience with are from dell so I can't really say much about it!
Hope everything gets fixed without too much hassle on your computer too, they can be rather finicky if something goes wrong. If your computer is acting like there aren't any drivers, it might be possible that some cpu coolant got in one of the pci-e lanes...
On the plus side, the new things being added for the next update might have more finalised designs for next week so you have something proper to base your textures on!
The worst thing about the Hopper texture is that it is currently using the cauldron texture. Yes, it looks amzingly horrible without using ctm to make it have a seperate texture.

It's most likely a temporary thing. Imean, Mojang can't possibly be that lazy.
I wish mojang would allow Eld to revamp their textures for them or something, considering he now works for them... I'm sure that would also lead to less people using texture packs though so on second thoughts...
EDIT: Below is derp, I skipped over the last couple of posts and they just mentioned what I mentioned down there.
I should really finish reading the thread before posting!
Btw, at the moment the hopper uses the exact same texture as the cauldron Hopefully that changes in the future though because that just seems incredibly lazy and ruins many unique ideas for cauldrons unless you want your hoppers to look really strange too.
Hello everyone So I've officially moved on from Dokucraft and I am using Derivation now. I've been doing some small work on my personal pack just to tweak some things here and there and decided to give the snapshot textures a shot. So far the only thing I'm kinda happy with is the Comparator block.

Thats a simple iron block recolor for the redstone block. Thinking of doing something different for it through.
and as always, Levaunt, if you want to use these I have no issue with it I'm also working on some simple ExtrabiomesXL support that I'll post when I finish

Didn't Sonic Ether have a graphics card problem, and ended up raising something like $2,000 to replace it?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"Some may say I'm 10 pounds of crap, but I'd say it's more like 11 and a half..."
"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried. Most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita; Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and, to impress him, takes on his multi-armed form and says, 'Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.' I suppose we all thought that, one way or another."
If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the mighty one.
I'm dying to know what the face crying blood texture in your signature banner is (or was) for.
Its a reference to the Game of Thrones. If you haven't seen the TV series you should check it out and also read the books (A Song of Ice and FIre series) Really good stuff.

That's interesting, he probably just bought a whole new PC for that much!
I actually spoke to soon when I said everything was working again. It was for a few hours, then my PC just shut off, and now I'm getting more problems. So depending on what's broken I'll be disable for a while yet.
I'm really happy about this new block. I always like new decorative blocks, but this is esspecially good because we don't currently have a light colored block, plenty of dark ones though.
It would be awesome if he made a pillar version, and a regular brick version.
Hey Levaunt, love the new Birch Planks texture you've got. Never change it!
Here's a few pics of how it made my beachside hotel look even fancier:
This is currently a work in progress...
Well sorry to say but it will be changed. That graphic isn't made to be used as the wood plank texture, only for the ite frames. I will likely revert to the old version and add some random CTM support to it.
Of course you are welcome to just change your personal version to have that texture.

I've been thinking about that birch thing lately, after our discussion about having 2 differents woods and I think you can leave Birch the way it is, and may be do the same for other woods. You told me that it could ruin some designs already built, but in fact, it dosen't. 1,5 blocks using slabs are not concerned, you can only use the new wood by using 2 slabs as a block.
The only structures that will be modified would be the cross-built ones, with blocks and 2 slabs, as the same use.
But when you know that, you can use it to build according to it, here are 2 small examples I use in my mansion :
This post wouldn't be complete if I didn't warn you that using it that way causes a texture bug when using inside corners, like below :
I don't mind about those bugs, it's the little drawback to have twice the fun on one block

I'm not against the idea. But no matter what I do I'm going to forsake the "item frame fix". The wood will go back to it's default, but I may add a CTM to double stacked wood slabs.

This seems like the most intersting update in a while. Hopefully I can get back to work on this soon.

Intel Core i7 950 Processor (4x 3.06GHz/8MB L3 Cache)
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R w/ 4x PCI-E 2.0 x16
6 GB RAM [2 GB X3] DDR3-1600
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 - 1.5GB
Thermaltake TR2 TRX-750M

It's a random birch log texture.

You misread my post, I didn't get a new PC.
To fix mine I'll hopefully only need to buy another part, just need to figure out which one that is.
