Quick question just because I am really curious. Why did you name your texture pack "Derivation"? Sorry if you have answered this before.
Pretty much what Fred said, when i first made it I was heavily inspired by some games and other pixel art, and I used a thesaurus. I've wanted to change it for a while but wasn't sure if people would just be used to the name by now.
As long as you name the alternates with the same number so they match, it should be ok
Take a look at Misa's Realism. The author seems to have made a nice non-glitchy cloud layer and it looks like a flat plane rather than a texture stretched over default square clouds
I'm assuming you mean glitchy as in the texture gets pasted over the angular default clouds and looks weird right?
That's good about the wolves, will certainly do that then. As for the clouds, yes that is the problem I am talking about. I really wanted them to be transparency free, but that doesn't seem possible to do at higher resolutions. I also don't want to just copy someone else's clouds, but I could try doing something similar I guess.
I adore this texture pack! I think my favourite textures are for slimeballs and magma cream. On another topic, I have been looking for a texture pack to pick up my modpack. If you'd like to do that, and I don't expect you to, (there are a lot of mods) you could get more publicity through my channel. If you'd like to pick it up, please let me know! Brilliant pack.
Optifine has it now?
Hah, it's like they're constantly looking over MC Patcher's shoulder to see what they're doing and thinking "Awesome! That's the next thing we should add!"
Part of why I don't like or use Optifine (I don't need an FPS boost anyway)
Really? I do think that Optifine does take some ideas from MCPatcher, but the program itself is far better. Not only can you change settings ingame, but it also has actual connected textures for glass panes. And not to mention the fact that you can change texture packs ingame.
MC Patcher has it for all blocks.
and it doesn't force you to use the default CTM textures if the texture pack doesn't have them.
So if you don't have CTM for glass for example, you won't see default glass.
But anyway, I'd rather not cause an arguement over which is better.
Yes, yes. Just expressing my opinion. But I do agree with Chromatix. The ability to change options ingame is enough in itself. And also, Optifine has CTM for all things too. Not many texture packs use it, though.
I have made t clear that I love this pack in the past, however I am having issues with your cobblestone, whenever I use it to build it feels too unrealistic when used in conjunction with other blocks like stone brick and wood.
Haven't heard that before, but it does have a minor tiling issue. I think it will look a lot better when I add some random CTM support for it.

Apparently you can use CTM on Wood/stone pressure plates to make them tables. I haven't actually looked at it but it sounds like an interesting concept.

Speaking of cobblestone, did you have an alternative cobblestone texture as a background (some menu or something?) texture at some point in a previous update? If so, it looked very good.

This is probably what you are thinking of. If so just replace the current background with this one.

The problem with OptiFine is colormod isn't completely supported like it is in MCPatcher. Also the vertical CTM (for stuff like sandstone and reeds) seems to be backwards from how MCPatcher does it. At least that's what I've experienced, and I've reported these issues on the OptiFine thread, not sure if they've been seen. But I certainly love the performance and customization it gives.
He has answered this question in the past. The old pack's textures is too different from the overall concept of the new one, which is why a customizer won't be made. Atleast not a priority I think.
In my opinion, it seems to fit better than the current texture. Just a matter of opinion, i guess. -Shruggs-

Loving this texturepack
Pack is looking great, I'm loving the new textures.
How do you get the sky to change like that?

Yea, ideally I would have some type of CTM on most textures, but I haven't perfected my time-machine yet.
Yes, I have changed buttons, and probably will do stone and wood pressure plates sometime.
This is probably what you are thinking of. If so just replace the current background with this one.

can you adapt it for 16x16?
