Oh! One other thing. I noticed that you're picking up a lot on the CTM mod stuff, and something I saw the guys over at DokuCraft: The Saga Continues, was making a Connected Texture for Reeds! I thought that was a neat idea, and would love to see you do something with that as well. I pick reeds specifically because ... well... honestly I don't know why O.o It really just seems like a crazy-neat idea to make them change depending on how tall it is.

I see how they would have made reeds. But I like my textures to work in the context of Minecrafts items. Can't exactly get sugar from reeds. BUT I do really like the idea of using CTM on sugar cane, so here's what I did to mine:
Wow, never seen that video before. Unfortunately that stone was a placeholder, it's not my work. So I can't add that one.
I had big plans for a customizer a little while back, but I couldn't manage to create my own, and I really don't like the setup of the customizer that's out there. I may make some alts and just stick them in a PSD for people to change though.
Thank you for the reply. It's great too see that you take your time and look over the comments.
I guess I'll use the older version of the stone for now. I Really hope you would consider making some alt for it though.
Also, and now I'm just being nitpicky, why dont you ever make each ore more unique?
I love the work you're doing with the CTM. keep it up.
I have been away since you released v4.0, and I have to say that I am simply blown away by what you have done here.
Things I really like:
- New moon texture is simply the greatest thing ever
- decorative blocks like the circle stone brick are very detailed
- new passive mobs look much more realistic than before (I particularly like the slimes)
- the new armor and tools are amazing, I love the samurai aesthetic
- the new paintings arent resized versions of larger images, but they look totally redone, pixel by pixel
- too much more to list
Things I don't (not much)
- the moon phases are not astronomically correct, here is a good example: http://www.moonconne...ses_diagram.jpg
- redstone does not stand out enough on stone
- obsidian does not work well as a decorative block
- orange and yellow wools look too similar
- I would prefer a less orange glowstone
All in all I am looking forward to the new updates, this pack can really benefit from all the little atmospheric touches that the patcher can provide. This is simply the greatest collection of hand made video game textures I have ever seen, and I cant wait to see what else you can come up with.

I've done unique ores in the past, but there's always something I don't like about it. Either it's hard to tell what it is from a distance, or it isn't readable in your inventory. I'll take suggestions though, I'm willing to try new things.
Which of all the things you've aggreed to have you started on yet? If I may ask? I'm mostly just curious to what the priority is.
Well after seeing the jungle wood in a build I'm trying to actually play some Minecraft too see if anything else stands out as bad! And I am also really getting into CTM stuff, but I think I'm running out of things to add for that.
There are some mods I'd like to do, but I should probably prioritize things in the actual game that aren't done. Such as Iron Golem and Ender Dragon with his bits.

Glad to see you back around!
- The moon I know isn't exactly right. I was going for more of an eclipse feel. Think of it like game of thrones long summers and winters, in this world the moon stays stationary and instead has phases of an eclipse as the planet revolves around the sun. (This is possible)
- Which redstone are you referring to, the ore in stone, or redstone dust placed on stone?
- Someone else mentioned this and it's a tough call for me to make. I like the textures to work well in survival and where they naturally occur. This is why my glowstone isn't a lantern graphic. And it's hard to strike a balance with obsidian with organic and man made. You know what would be great, if CTM could give a block a different graphic if it was placed by a player.
- Easy fix!
- Also probably an easy fix.
I mean the redstone dust when placed on the ground doesn't stand out as much as it should
For the obsidian, why not just edit the current texture so that it is entirely cooled lava, instead of having the glowing edges?
Also I just noticed the map texture. It is also amazing.
I agree with the dust. I tried making something different than most packs, but it doesn't work very well. I'll have to settle with just a path of dust.
If that is all that is wrong with the obsidian than I think I can do that. Possibly just as an alternate though, because I really like the lava showing through.

Hey Levaunt, let me just say that this is a really awesome texture pack. I used it for a while back around Beta 1.8 and it was pretty cool, but the recent overhaul is amazing. Either way, you do a really good job.
The only thing off I noticed is that you don't have a visible drip particle, for when water or lava is directly above the block you are under.
Here is an example, resized and marked for clarity:
These are snippets from the particles.png file in the main folder ( same as terrain.png ). Left side is Wayukian, right side is Derivation.
Green is where drip particles are, red is about where they should be. I notice they are colored automatically, depending on if it is lava or water, so you have to do a greyscale or some other blend to get it to match up.
( If these particles were not included as an aesthetic choice, then please disregard the preceding. )
His face looks... off. The mouth looks like it's drooped too far down his chin making him look... rather ridiculous actually.
I'm not sure what the problem is, the head has the right proportions according to a real face. Maybe you are mistaking one part for another? Like Deepblue said, he does have a beard/mustache.
Does this work for all blocks? I'm trying to get into texturing and wondering what kind of limits there are. Do you happen to have any good tutorials you used in the beginning? I'm already using this one.
If you're talking about CTM there are not a lot of limitations, it can do many crazy things with blocks. Just maybe takes some trial and error to get it right, and I like to look at other packs that have CTM support to see how they managed it.
As for just creating textures, I do mostly pixel art so I looked up tutorials for that, rather than tutorials for making minecraft textures. I've been thinking of doing a tutorial soon that might help.
Remember the custom colouring too so the drips match the water colour.
and could you maybe adjust the water colour? Something more aqua blue or something instead of what you have which seems pretty close to default colour. It's a little too blue.
I agree about the water. Someone else earlier mentioned there wasn't much contrast so I adjusted that, and at the same time tweaked the color some. It's very finicky though, I have to add double the saturation to get half the results on the water.
Thank you Levaunt for doing such a great job, and please I have found ever one of your new pieces perfect, it's good to occasionally listen to the community but I think that your opinion would be over their's (I actually liked the lumpy snow)
Thanks so much for the kind words! And don't worry, I only change things based on a person's suggestion if I agree with it. And I've been building an image of alternates with the things I take out. I'll add it to an update soonish.
A lot of my particles need tweaks, that is something that will likely be in the next update.
Also, I totally forgot about that mod! I used to use it a lot. I will absolutely add support for it.

Yes, that was my plan exactly! I can still use the edited iron block in mods though.
Glad to see you back around!

Magnificent use of colors and shapes.
I was about to mention that right now. It almost got me killed
I'd put in a vote for unique ores as well. I also substituted the bedrock texture as obsidian for myself and it looks quite nice.
Thanks so much! I really like your pack as well.
Here's today's work; took a while, but I think it came out how I wanted it to.
