I love the new update, although I pretty much agree with everything everyone else has been saying. However, I also find the lapis lazuli block to be a little strange. I like the few green blocks, but I think they're a bit too green. Maybe shade them closer to blue, around a teal-ish color or something?
Also, the dead shrub (Or mini cacti in your pack) is way too even IMO. It'd be a lot nicer if it was shorter and rounder. And now that I think about it, the flower on top of the cacti doesn't really fit nicely as a purple flower. Most texture packs with flowers on the cacti have it pink, and I personally think it looks best that way...
But, this is your pack...Just giving some suggestions.
This texture pack may be the first HD texture pack I actually like. It has a nice RPG look to it. The pirate pigmen made me laugh. Only a couple of things peeve me in the texture pack.
- Obsidian: The texture looks great, but it doesn't fit well as a building material. I have a couple sculptures and a building made out of a majority of obsidian, and the texture throws it a little off. If you used it with a flowing animation, it would look great as lava pouring down a volcano.
- Endermen: I like the eyes all over the body, but the red eye color conflicts with the purple particle effects, giving it more of a lava monster look than a creature from another dimension look.
- Cake: It looks a little plain. It looks like a half wool block.
- Forgotten textures: You forgot to texture mooshrooms and gold armor.
Other than that, I like the pack. The textures don't conflict with each other. It has a smooth yet retro videogame look to it. I might use this pack for a while.
Edit: It also seems the painting file is save as a photoshop project.
I agree about the obsidian, although I'd want more of a rippling, glassy look than flowing lava animation. I like the texture you have now, which is just plain cool, but I tend to make decorative floors out of obsidian and the 'cooling lava' look doesn't work so well for that.

People seem to use Lapis blocks as roofing a lot (myself included), so I like to make them into shingles. As for the colors, I suppose it would make more sense if they weren't as green. I may tweak them. I also completely agree about the flower on the cacti, that whole texture actually is from the old pack. I just didn't get around to changing it.

Obsidian: I was torn with that, as well as glowstone. I like having textures work in their natural state, but they may not look great as a building material. Only thing I could do is add some alternates at some point.
Endermen: All mobs (save for the few I have already completed) are going to be changed to fit the new style.
Cake: This was a temporary texture mostly.
I hate mooshrooms, but I will add them with other mobs, and armor is being worked on as well. I have Iron and Diamond finished. And the paintings aren't done yet, that's why it's a PSD. Only there for people to get a little preview.

Thank you, and dunnra, for putting that in your sigs, I'm honored! I'll have to show some previews as thanks.
This lava might not be final, I'm still working out how I want to animate it.
And here are a few swords.
You honestly make me feel like such a terrible pixel artist xD

Loving the lava! The swords look awesome as well, although I'd suggest making the iron sword shinier to make it easier to tell it and the stone sword apart.
This is my first texture pack and I'm loving it! So beautiful! Although I am having some texture problems;
-Pumpkins have chunks missing in them that are replaced with lava and a water block
-Gold blocks are the same only bits are replaced with fire
-And water seem to lack any texture at all, its just blue-grey blocks.

You need to use MC patch. All HD packs need to use MC patch.
While the lava is good, you actually posted a preview of a texture a while back that I think would work better (I think I reposted it a few pages ago?).
I agree with obsidian, maybe something similar to the bottom of the enchanting table texture would work.
Glowstone, on the other hand, isn't quite pale enough for my taste, though I like the texture otherwise.
Redstone could be a bit more saturated?
Items look very nice so far, especially when compared to your old ones, but I am not a fan of the spikey end on the diamond sword.
I don't like mooshrooms either, but I'm sure your skin will be great.

I think I know the preview you're mentioning, that was going to be the new Netherack, but it didn't look good repeated as terrain. It may work as lava but it's not as liquid as I'd like.
Here is a preview of the lava, pop it in your Derivation.zip and rename them to test it out.
Working on mobs too. Not sure how much I need/should do before releasing another update. If I wait till I complete all items and mobs it will be another month long gap.
Zombie color isn't final, and there are a few errors on that version. I also plan to do multiple recolors for most mobs.
These look awesome! I'm curious what the wolf looks like from the front. Also your lavas look awesome! Great work as usual.
And pertaining to recolors, I'd be willing to wait longer for completely different versions of each mob rather than simple (I know they won't be simple, you're amazing, but...) recolors. I think that most fans of your work agree certainly that they would appreciate your highest quality if we have to wait a little longer for an update than less chunk filled,"lower quality" updates.
Thanks;

Retired Staff(Oh, and I put your banner in my sig. You'll have to scroll down to see it though. :3)
EDIT: You inspired me to make a new banner for myself. Why do even your banners fill me with joy??

Yeah I noticed that. I believe I know why it happened, and it should be fixed in the next update.
