Hey, just like to let you know that there's some texture sizing issues with the new Zombie skins. Zombies, ZombiePigmen, and Zombie villagers are all usually affected, but I noticed this with the Pigmen in this texture pack. I've been alerting the creators to the mishap, but just to be clear...
This is what I'm referring to. I'm told that the skin texture's been upped in size, so you'll definitely want to modify the main pack and change the one you have set up for download.
Hey Levaunt, just letting you know that the birch leaves do not work entirely, if you place a birch leaf block down it won't be the same one as on the naturally spawning trees (it will be normal leaves). Also, if you try taking out the log just below where the leaves start, all the leaves turn into the oak ones. Apparently something about the leaves changes when they start to decay or there is a block update near them.
I did notice that they worked funky, but not that funky. I'll probably just take them out with the next version.
Loving the new textures. The new look for all of the ores is awesome and all the CTM stuff is amazing. There's one thing I'm really sad you changed though. Obsidian. Your old texture was one of my favorite out of the whole pack but you changed it. I loved the cracks in it where you could see lava peeking through before. It looked so awesome, definitely on the Nether portal! Now it looks so dull with its bland faded purple... Not trying to be a jerk, it's just you took out my favorite texture!
Anyway, other then that, I really love everything you've done with this pack. Not to mention making this for all of us to enjoy. Thanks man!
I loved that obsidian as well, but I got way to many complaints about it. It looked very weird as a building material apparently.

I wasn't aware that Zombie pigmem were re-sized as well. Glad they seemed fit to disrupt as many textures as possible for absolutely no reason.
So looked like I need to release another version to fix all these bugs. I must be getting complacent to have missed all these when testing. Sorry guys! I'll try and whip one up later today.
I just needed to come back and say the old record alts look so good with the new item frames. It makes taking the time to kite creepers around skellies much more worth it.
I just read a suggestion in another thread, and really liked the idea. So; would it be possible to CTM the vines? It's always been something i'd like more variation in, seeing how much of it i got on my island.

Not only do I like the idea, but I've already planned on doing it. I think I'd prefer doing the vertical method so they don't end abruptly, rather than random.
-The second state of the cursor on the map ! The marker pointing the direction is done, but the round one (when you're off the map) is a big blue square ^^
Love this pack, my only gripes are that I vastly prefer the creeper face on the chiseled sandstone to the hieroglyphics, and I'm not 100% keen on the netherrack and nether brick either. At first I didn't really like the birch trees either... until one of the birch's in my tree farm decided to have a face

I could easily add a creeper alternate to the sandstones, not a bad idea actually. The netherrack I still need to do some random CTM for, and the brick I chose to make it dark because there is already a red brick to build with.
this morning the birch leaves were really cool looking. now they look normal. what happened?
Yea MC doesn't render birch leaves quite as I thought, so I can't change them with CTM. That graphic is going to be removed in the next version, so for now you'll have to bear with it being weird. Or if you want go into the texture pack "ctm" folder and delete the block18.properties file, and that will get rid of it.
I'll have a preview of the new GUI in a bit, by the way.
I have some plans for mushroom biomes. The new texture for the mushroom flesh is a step in that direction. I felt bad neglecting them so much, just because I hate them. So I'm going to do my darnedest to make them a lot cooler and unique. Just so long as people don't mind it being rather different from default Minecraft.
The GUI is from the old pack, mostly. You're probably not sure because I changed it a lot in the early days, because I was never happy with it. But I'm hoping this new one will be different. And I have thought about making an actual pixel art sun. If it's going to be anything like the moon though, I'll need a week to make it!
so wait. why were the birch leaves really cool looking this morning and now they are just normal? this is still a mystery to me and its causing me grief
also if i could make a recommendation, the only two problems i have with the pack other than the birch leaves not being awesome any more are with the GUI, the cursor is distracting and gimpy, and the thing that shows which item is equipped in the quickbar requires too much attention to see which one is selected, especially when using the mouse wheel. its easily fixed by adding either a bright or dark translucent square the same size and shape as the inside of the boxes, which i did but yea, just something to think about

The birch leaves use the same graphic as oak leaves. I attempted to change them using CTM, but as you can see it doesn't work properly. There is no way around this that I can see, so I am just going to make those leaves the same graphic.
The cursor will be changed somehow, and as you can see in my last post, I am completely changing the GUI. Including the hotbar.

That's a bummer. I made the carrot on a stick, but I must have brain farted and forgot to save it to the right file. I'll add it ASAP.

Let me know if I missed anything else, but I sure hope I didn't.

In 1080p 24fps (film), x8AA, and x8 supersample. For no jagged edges.

It's possible.
Everything's possible with CTM!

My plan is to have a stone version as well. For furnace, traps, etc.

Yes, I had it aligned for the snapshot, then they changed it at the last minute. I'll fix it with the new GUI.
