If anyone wants to download this, there may be other places on the web to obtain it. But you didn't hear it from me.
I've been busy with another project lately so this has been put on hold for a bit, but I will probably get some more steam the closer 1.8 comes.
Alright, I finally got some time to finish the necessary changes. The new stuff is mostly items, new tools and swords. I have also changed the colors of some terrain to make it less eye-hurty. There is a new cobblestone, and the previous cobblestone is now stone bricks, in preparation for 1.8. I have also changed the glowstone to be actual stone, and not a lantern. And some minor changes to the sun and moon.
Let me know what you think of the changes. Oh I also made icons for leather armor, I'm going to try and get all the armor finished next, icons and skins.
The images on the OP don't match the new changes, so keep that in mind. I have a plan to make the OP look a lot cooler and hopefully show off every texture, but it might take a bit before I have time for it.
Thank you Phail I appreciate it. This forum does move really fast!
I've been tweaking with the packs colors a lot lately. I just feel like everything is too bright to fit with the old rpg feel I want, or some textures just clash with each other. So here is a preview of the new coloring, I also redid my chests, as those have always been my least favorite.
I'd like to see some input on this. I could always have two downloads available, one with the current color style, and another with this one if need be, but I personally like this one more.
The dirt seems a bit too red. Maybe if the hue was more towards brown? But yeah, that's amazing. Did you think about making the chest a bit more weathered? Like scratches on the steel and cracks in the wood? It seems a bit too smooth. I really love your work though :biggrin.gif:
Here's some screenshots if you want them (not sure about the items one though, but the test track is updated by me to include all blocks)
hey im having trouble with the pack, the water and lava ar saying "use mc patch" could ya help plox =)also alot of the block textures have little squares of fire, portal ect on them is this mod conflicting with my other mods or is there another way to fix this?

...It means to use the mc patcher. You need it for pretty much every texture pack.
Phew, worked a lot on this lately, but I am proud to say this is ready for 1.8!
Check out the OP for all the changes, and also to just look at it. I've completely changed it to show off more of the textures in a cleaner fashion. Enjoy!
That's one of the nicest OP's I've ever seen. Creative, and shows off all the good stuff. This pack has changed so much since the first release, and it's the best it's ever been. Everything just really flows together now. I especially love the wooden tools and the water. Thank you for your time and work.
I really like this pack, shame I only recently discovered it.
However.
As far as I can tell, redstone wires are broken. They don't change color depending on their state. Relying on the particle effect is insufficient for serious redstone work, forcing me to go back to another pack to work on any redstone project.
Thank you for the kind words, it really does help!
@Reitsuki: Curses, that was one of the few things I didn't test. I know how to fix it though so that will be in the next update. But if you want a temporary fix yourself just delete the bottom most redstone wire, the one with the dark outline.
Hey Levaunt. Big fan of your Zelda Terraria Texture Pack. Saw you post this in one of the threads there and had to look. I love this pack. The bright colors + your style are great with the Minecraft world. Everything looks cool xD. I can't wait to see the rest of the armor get completed.
I must say I wouldn't mind seeing more variation between the different sets of items. Like the Iron and Gold sword look the same. I like how the stone sword has its own look, and even the diamond sword. I hope your armors look just as amazing as the set you have done.
Lastly, have you considered supporting the Randommobsmod? I've been using Misa's Realistic texture pack up until now, but I think I like your pack more. One of my favorite things about hers was she had multiple enemy/animal skins for the Randommobs mod. With how creative your monster skins already are, I would love to see you make more to support that mod with your texture pack =D
Glad you like both packs. I'll probably tweak the golden weapons at some point. As for Randomobs and other mods, as soon as I finish changing all the textures from default I will work on adding a lot of mod support.
I've been busy with another project lately so this has been put on hold for a bit, but I will probably get some more steam the closer 1.8 comes.
