I would like a texture pack with torches that have ZERO animation. One where the torches fire doesnt move nor puff out sparks or smoke. that and if possible lava that doesnt move, however it still can move downhill.

Lava and water sre tricky...I can't do that atm.

the torches is all i really want. i was also looking at tron packs, if u dont have time to make a huge tron pack, just default settings with the torch mod. thx
The torch texture itself isn't animated. You're thinking of the fire particle that's generated from torches, that'll be around no matter what the torch looks like. What you can do is erase the ember particles from the particles.png, and that'll do the trick just fine.

However, that will also get rid of the particles for lit furnaces and the like.

LMAO you havent looked at most of these texture packs have you? im gunna say 7 out of 10 are simple and clean.
back on topic; imho the best simple texture pack ive seen myself is smoothstoned
You have to use image editing software like gimp or photoshop (NOT mspaint, doesn't support transparency) and manually erase the ember particle from the particles.png. If you don't want smoke either, you'd have to erase the smoke particles too.
But, just like BillyTingle said, erasing those gets rid of them elsewhere. You won't have any embers around your furnaces, and if you get rid of the smoke, that gets rid of a LOT of particle effects. It's really not worth it.
Getting rid of animated water/lava is easier though. Use the HDPatcher and change the settings around. If that fails, delete any pngs that look like "custom_whatever_still.png"

You dont have to mess with the lava the torches is what i want fixed. no movement nor puff of smoke. just a yellow end of a stick.
