My computer wont extract files from appdata>minecraft>Bin>minecraft so I cant make a texturepack .Could someone give it to me somehow? Please with a porkster on top?

I have jdk and am not getting WinRAR to do this. Lot's of people say you should but really you don't need to. It says it can't find the mainfest file when I do it. Didn't notch put the manifest file inside somewhere?

WinRAR has a free trial and work even after that for free, there's really no reason not to get it.

Well, if it's not working, wouldn't you need it?

Don't want to get WinRAR, end of story. There is a way to do it so why not just tell me how or go?

I don't know how to make manifest. And besides, Notch should've made manifest files. I know for sure he did in fact.

Yeah, there is a way of which but I don't know how. Is it really to hard to download 7zip / winrar? I actually don't see why you can't just do that. Either way, I don't know how, so I'm going to stop responding and let someone who's more smrat then me to figure it out.

Actually, you are mistaken. It's impossible to do without some form of unzipper like WinRAR or 7Zip. I don't know where you got the idea that you can do without one of them, but if you know you can do it without them, why can't you do it?

I can extract .zip files. I was able to do this on another computer with the same unzipping software but no luck on this computer.

Can't u all give me the textures? Really good artist so my texture packs could turn out pretty good.

obtw, I can only convert the textures in "terrain.png" on my other computer... I transfered files but forgot some of them and can't get them back again...

pls help!

Oh another idea is to just download a premade texture pack and alter it, just give credit to the original author for the template.
