Hey, im working on my first texture pack and i need some help with the grass. When ever i went over it in terrain.png and checked in game its stil covered by the normal minecraft grass. I havent found a way to edit it and i need some help with it
That's because you need to edit the sidegrass overlay to match the sidegrass you've made. With 1.5 came biome-compliant sidegrass. Find the overlay in the terraing.png and have at it.
EDIT: I looked at your screenshot again, and noticed a few more things you might need help on. To start, the grass texture is the topmost left texture on the terraing.png. You probably didn't notice it because it was grayscale. The sidegrass and grass textures are grayscale because they're overlaid with a different image, so that different biomes can have slightly different shades of green. The sidegrass is only biome-compliant on fancy graphics (you probably wouldn't even notice a grass problem if you set your graphics to fast). You can edit the color of the grass with the grasscolor.png in the misc folder.
The same goes for leaves and the foliagecolor.png.
