Update v0.25: Diamonds are done, as well as diamond ore. We also did smooth stone, but aren't too happy with it, and so it will most likely be reworked at a later date. A new screenshot has been attached, and the download link has been updated.
Hello.
I have recently started creating my first texturepack for Minecraft. I do not have much done, but wanted to post what I have so that the community can give suggestions/feedback. I plan on trying create much of this pack based off of KotOR (but not all), and I will be updating the version (hopefully) every few days with new skins. Screenshots are below, along with a download link. Let me know what you think.
Download:
I apologize for the low quality of the textures that I have not yet done, I did not know how to increase the terrain.png file size without distorting the original images. This will not be a problem in the final release, however, since I plan on reskinning every texture at 64x. http://www.mediafire.com/?hqd5nxrbrd96mkz
Screenshots:
Footlocker and Workbench (Chest and Crafting Table)
Tatooine Sand
Glowrod (Torch)
Lightsaber Crystals (Diamonds)
And this is an HD pack, so you will need the patcher, found HERE
And a very special thanks to saracynical for helping me out with photoshop and everything else.
EDIT: Ok, the textures youve made look EPIC . Try the Faithful Pack 32x32 if you want OK Default textures and armour. its good, and quite "Faithful" (Yes, a rather lame pun.. is there a smiley for that?) to the defaults, but ull have to downscale to 32x32 to use that.
another thing, and constructive critiscism, this has happened to be too, Photoshop gliches sometimes and you cant put things in the correct positions. Like, on the Stone Slab tops you have I get a bit of brick block on the side, redstone repeates are really ed up, and redstone straights have purple bits. same with redstone torches.
the other textures that we haven't done yet are smudgy because we took a 16x16 texturepack and are turning it into a 64x64 HD pack, so the stuff we haven't touched looks a little gross.
We will hopefully be making some bangin' lightsaber swords soon, no worries.
For the weapons I was planning on a training saber for wood, gamorrean battleaxe for stone, vibroblade for iron, and lightsaber for diamond. I have no idea about gold yet though...
Hey, I was wondering which link I would use if I had a mac os x. I have a mac os x version 1.5
Well there's only one download link, however I'm not sure how texture packs work on macs. I believe its the same way, although you should probably check that, as I really have not a clue
