I like your suggestions for obsidian and cobblestone. These will absolutely be added as alternatives (I may even switch to your obsidian design as the main one). I will also add a less modern door alternative for those RPG folks. The signs are also a nice touch, though I might darken them just a bit for the sake of contrast (monotone is boring). Regarding the sand, I like what you did, but I want to keep the wavy feel. As a compromise I'll turn down the contrast to make the waves blend in more.

Why I like these packs: the colors on the blocks are lively, but not so colorful that it makes it look like a rainbow vomited upon them. In the DSB's DOKU remix, the paintings are not default, which I really like. Unfortunately, with the AWESOME pack I'm stuck with the default. Both of these texture packs have really, really good sandstone and sand textures. I can't stand the default sand. I also like how the ores and any of the plants look. The default pack makes the wheat look horrible to me, I like the wheat to be a nice golden yellow.
Packs I don't like:
Pretty much all of them. The main reason being that any of the dirt, sand, gravel, stone, cobble textures just don't look right. A lot of the time I see really faded coloring of them, and sometimes the coloring is way too vivid. I'm a Goldilocks when it comes to the coloring of the natural stuff.
Anyways, the main thing I can't stand with your pack is the dirt, which looks very, very faded to me. It just seems to make the world look dead... (on a side-note, I'm not really talking about the surface. I'm currently working on an underwater biodome in which dirt deposits keep showing up in the sides and floor of.)
EDIT: I forgot to mention this, but I am getting green water. Which looks absolutely horrible. I used a patcher for one of my HD texture packs, I'm thinking this might be the issue.
Sweet Texture pack although the Items in your INVETORY! are confusing were as when you place them they have a differant teture to what was viewed anyway great pack might use it in my LP =D
The items for the inventory use the textures from terrain.png so they are the same...

Man this is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Maybe you could change the armor though cause I don't really like it. :sad.gif: :sad.gif: :sad.gif:
I have some alts I was working on so tell me what you think. I love the iron armor and there is no way I will ever alt the iron armor :smile.gif:
So here is what your looking at. The gold helmet/cap was converted into a crown since gold armor is purely decoration. The leather armor was modified to look like this:
There's nothing visually exciting, you know, but it just fits so well into MC that it's seamless. I am going to try it out today and wait for you 1.6 update...yes?

I am very happy with this pack you made. I downloaded the terrain.png. The only thing I disliked was the obsidian, the TNT, and wool. I edited it to my satisfaction and I like how everything came out. Do you mind if I post my version as a modification to yours? I would give full credit to you of course for the other textures.
