Started today, while I got the idea yesterday. So far I have 4 blocks and 0 items done.
It is based off of the game Terraria, a 2D action packed adventuring game. So far everything made is only slightly edited from the actual texture in Terraria, or not edited at all.
That is what I have done. Every day I will update this list.
When a good chunk of the terrain is done and the items too, I will be releasing it. Then the full version will come out when everything else is done.
Here is what I got so far.

??? Days Later: I've decided I'll bring back the pack.
First off, I'll let you know I had the game since a few days after it came out.
So yes, I can now get the textures easily.
Next off, I got a plan on how this will work out now.

Stone: The regular stone from Terraria
Grass: Top of the block a custom texture, sides are the regular grass
Dirt: Regular dirt
Wooden Planks: Regular wood
Wood: The trunks used on the trees
Gold: The regular gold ore
Iron: Regular iron ore
Coal: A recolored version of the silver ore, recolored to black
Diamond: A recolored version of the copper ore, recolored to diamond
Yellow Flower: A custom flower texture similar to the sunflowers
Rose: A rose!
Feather: The harpy feather
Chickens: Friendly harpies! :biggrin.gif:
Zombies: Zombies, yano?
Skeletons: What do you think they will be?
Creepers: Any ideas for this one?
Spiders: Same as above
Bookcases: The regular books on a wood platform
Brown Mushroom: The spotty red mushroom
Red Mushroom: Glow shrooms!
Furnace: A custom furnace texture similar to the original
Crafting Table: Same as above
Brick: The reg brick texture
Lapiz Lazuli: Recolored version of iron, with the colors of the slime gel sprite
Slime Ball: Slime gel
Dynamite: Custom sprite using sticks of dynamite
Torch: The torch
Chest: Custom texture similar to the original
im so buying terarria i might even abandon minecraft for a while but in the long run ill probably still play minecraft way more but awsome work dude! you should do iron as copper and slime jelly as coal maybe silver for iron idk?
I was waiting for this to come.Great job,although it looks much worse in practice than I thought it would in theory...
Also,it's obvious that you have to make the Nether into the Underworld.Or maybe the Nether could be an underground jungle,with glowstone as fungus or those vinemonsters or something.You could make two versions of the pack,one with the Underworld Nether and the other with the Nether as the Underground Jungle.

Should coal blocks look like topaz blocks but a black recolor, be blue like slime jelly, or be a black recolor of gold?
Question 2
What should I use for glowstone, or should it be custom/the original?
Also, I'll see if I can get this pack to support the wildgrass mod like the Painterly Pack. It seems like it would fit really well.
I honestly don't know how to run that thing. I try to run it and it says xnb2png cannot be found. I'm obviously doing something wrong.
EDIT: ok nevermind I was stupid enough not to run it in cmd.
if it worked (i.e. you ran it as admin or the steam folder doesn’t need admin rights to be accessed), there should be a folder called „Pngs“ in the „Contents“ folder. aight?

gonna keep an eye on this.
however, there is a way to extract the files, i.e. a tool in the TerrariaWS pack.
to use it, you run (will vary if you have a 32bit system or installed steam somewhere else)
