I've been using this pack for a few weeks and I absolutely love it. Most of the time I find alternate texture packs a little too jarring and wind up going back to the default, but I was able to adapt to this one just fine and everything I build looks way better with it. I love that the different kinds of planks have different textures because it gives them different uses- for example, jungle wood makes the perfect rafters for my ceilings.
I didn't notice that there was a Customizer until now, so I'll have to fiddle with it and see if I find anything I like. All in all, wonderful texture pack!
Hey, LONG time lurker here. I've had your pack since the first iteration and have always loved it. I've got an issue right now though, i'm not too fond of the green tinge on the lightmap. It makes the area closest to the torches green and that just doesn't feel right while walking through caves. I was wondering if you were just playing with the lightmap and that maybe it was just an experiment. But yea, I love the pack SMP, keep up the good work and I just cannot wait till the next release.

I figured that's what it was since that was the last thing you mentioned being a problem. Take your time, haha don't want any mistakes. Eagerly awaiting it's release.

I did change the torch lightmap though to fix the green-ness! It was the yellow part of my gradient actually, when desaturated it looked pretty green. I fixed the CTM bugs today, but all that remains is for Optifine to update and fix some more bugs. Right now all my wood planks, logs, pressure plates, buttons and fence blocks don't work in-game.
Awesome. And that makes sense for the lightmap. Yellow would be more expected close to the flame. Thank you for looking into it! Great news on the bug fixes. So, none of the versions of optifine work for your pack? Dang.

You don't need to extract, just copy the file to the texture packs folder. If you don't know where that is, go to Run or open Windows Explorer and type %appdata% in the address bar. Then go to the .minecraft folder, and inside there is the texturepacks folder, where you put texture packs.

What about this new Curse feature that just come out? I've yet to test it, but isn't it just simplified downloading of texture packs? Or does it require that SMP place the actual file onto Curse's main site, similar to how WoW add-ons function.

I find that feature pretty useless to be honest. Just downloading straight to the texture packs folder only takes a few more clicks than downloading it via the client.
It took a lot of work to get this pack installed. Between getting the Random Mobs in the customized pack and completely re-modding my .jar around Optifine (otherwise the texture pack crashes Minecraft, which I absolutely do not understand). But it was worth it! I really like this pack. I'm adding it to the rotation (Jungle Ruins, Jolicraft, John Smith, Summerfields, Last Days Revival, and Good Morning Craft).
I love the CTM stuff. So few of texture packs seem to be really taking advantage of all the possibilities of that right now and it just really makes the world feel more alive.
I have a suggestion, though. I've seen this pack on the Minecraft Customizer for at least a year and I never bothered to try it out because the picture just didn't sell the pack. I was pack hunting last night and just opened everything. As soon as the page loaded I knew this was something I would like. Maybe you could talk to the people who run the costumizer about making a more intriguing thumbnail. The one that's up now looks so generic. Maybe something with fewer trees. Unless you're actively playing the game leaves tend to look pretty much the same regardless of texture pack (well, unless you're Jolicraft).

Under no circumstances do I want villagers building ugly little houses in my world. That's my job.

If you could make one that would be great. Right now I'm just using the signature as the thumbnail, if you could make a better one, feel free to send it to me or post it here.
Incredibly beautiful and dark, this is a wonderful texture pack. True pixel art is to be shown within this pack. The color choice is fantastic and tiling works like magic.
5/5 Stars!
