Woah, talk about awkward. I recently started a texture pack I planned on naming Synthetic Reality (It's a sort of abstract, yet somewhat realistic/simple pack), having no idea there was another pack named that. XD
Guess I have to think of another name. Also, just so this post isn't completely off topic...Your textures look nice, but they seem reallllllly gritty/noisy.
Yeah, a lot of people (I'd say most people) have no idea that Scuttles' LB pack is not the only photorealism lol
Screenshots don't do this pack justice.
Also, I hate grittiness in packs, so I use optifine instead of the mcpatcher. It has a mipmapping feature which removes grain from distanced blocks.
It is quite swell, and I recommend it! :smile.gif:
Also, I have a rather large update coming this weekend as well.
My only suggestion is that the Inventory GUI is pretty difficult to see sometimes, like cobblestone blends in with it. May be worth looking into.

Do you ever wonder how precious memories are Haseo? When we look back, all that exists is a nostalgic joy. In a place where there is no regret, or fear, you just let yourself float in the happiness that is all around you. - Ovan, .Hack//G.U. Vol. 3
i have downloaded this pack, but please try and compress it more, i don't want to have to download 160MB every time you add a slight change to the pack.
Salutations from a fellow Genetica user :wink.gif:
Although some of the textures are good (I especially like your gravel and diamond ore), the overall feeling of the texture pack doesn't seem unified.
Some of the textures/styles simply don't fit in with the others. A strong example here would be the pumpkin face.
I see what you mean. I have thought about that as well
thanks for saying you will change the size! even the 256x256 LB Photo Realism doesn't hit the 100MB mark yet, yet your's is well over 150MB!
i am on a really rubbish connection and during peak times (daytime) mediafire downloads at a really crappy capped speed, so it takes well over an hour to download 150MB from there.
at night time mediafire will download 150MB in 30 mins so then it's ok... but i still don't particularly want to download 150MB every time you change a slight pixel or color or something.
just compress the zip file to a maximum :smile.gif:
Edit: Just to let you know, there is a line of white pixels floating around your water particles (bubbles or droplets).
Edit 2: While holding a lever I noticed there are a few purple pixels out of place too.
Edit 3: I have also noticed a ton of white pixels around the cookie and the cooked chicken. I also think you should change the cooked fish texture, I don't think it should look like it has already been eaten.
Edit 4: Sorry to say but there are floating pixels around most of the items.
Sorry for all these nit-picks but I do like this pack!
I have noticed the pixels too, and am going to fix them. I was going to release an update today but it will have to wait a few days so I can get everything good! :smile.gif:
I also plan to compress the zip files to the maximum possible.
I apologize for the delay in updating. Some things have come up and I will try to have the update out by the end of the week. I will make it worth the wait :tongue.gif:
I downloaded the Texture, and it wouldn't open at all. Tried extracting it, nothing. Downloaded the patched, and now the minecraft launcher won't let me log on. Don't know whether it was the texture or the patcher, but I've used the patcher before without difficulty. Ideas?

which resolution did you download? I recommend using optifine instead of the patcher, personally.
also, I have a sneak peek of a new wood planks option :tongue.gif:
OK, I got it working after some difficulty, so there is water and nether portal movement etc. However, two things I can tell are missing: A bow charge animation and a cursor. Everything else seems to work fine.
Oh, except minecraft crashes when I load a world using the 256.. But I'm pretty sure that's just my computer. Good Work!

There is a cursor, I will make it more visible in my next update. I forgot bow charging! I have a massive update coming tomorrow that I'm sure everyone will enjoy. I also started a 16x pack on my laptop. I really really love the changes I've made. I have not done much of the 1.9 stuff, but I'll get around to it soon. After this update. So you don't have to wait. :tongue.gif:
downloading the 256x right now, also clicked ur ad.fly link... enjoy the "free"
Thanks! Let me know what you think, and feel free to post screenshots here.
I am working on my update, it is quite large. I have to say it is one of the largest updates I have done so far. I am still trying to find a way to compress the files more, and I am having very little success.

if you are having a problem compressing, ask Scuttles how he does his :smile.gif:
Well his stuff, a lot of it isn't actually in 256, that's how he keeps the size down. Also, my animations are much more detailed, therefore the files are much larger. I got the pack reduced to 117mb, which is probably the maximum I can.
WinRAR/7zip/whatever > Add to RAR > Compression method: Best/Maximum
(Also, don't use some shitty image editor that makes your files three times larger than they should be for no reason. :laugh.gif: I made that mistake once...)
Simple and very effective. Any other efforts to reduce the filesize will do almost no difference compared to this.
Yup I already have that done :tongue.gif:
I am uploading the packs now. I will put pictures of the wood colors on imgur right now and edit the OP

I appreciate that :smile.gif:
I am really excited about my update, I may even try making some netherwort :tongue.gif:

See the OP, I made a new one that will be released in my next update

Only one picture has the water shader, the rest are just how the water looks in my pack :smile.gif:

Both the 128 and the 256. I'll try the optifine thing though.
Yeah try that out and let me know if it works
