I love, love the monster spawner. I also like what you did with the mossy--a lot of artists struggle with that one. Even Misa's HD pack, which I mostly love, has some ugly mossy textures. Most of the HD ones I've seen have that issue. Although considering the context, vines growing instead of moss might not be a bad idea... Might look odd as a floor though.
A few more suggestions: The door texture is gorge, but I usually prefer a window in my wooden doors to see what's on the other side. (I use a lot of different texture packs and switch around quite a bit.) The obsidian on the front page looks weirdly zebra-striped. White or light grey or what have you is an unfortunate choice for your accent color in that regard. The soul sand looks like an overexposed photograph, and the thing you say is netherrack on the front page looks like glowstone. The wood plank texture looks like you were going for "weathered and wet," which is great, but you missed it by that much in your graphics editing, enough that I can sense the presence of Photoshop or GIMP. Keep trying on that one, the only change I think the plank needs is polishing up the pixels. Those fences look fantastic. As for the bookshelves, I love the idea of scrolls, but make them scrolls on wooden shelves.
As for other suggestions: Please, please, don't use meat or organs for your netherrack. It makes me nauseous when I explore the nether using an HD pack. Brimstone is an under-used idea for netherrack, which is surprising considering it's Hell. And please don't release it until you have some mob textures. Undead Aztec priests as your zombies and skellies would be both fitting and terrifying in a good way.
My friend XSSheep deserves all the credit for the cobble and mossy, as he is the one who donated those textures to this pack.
I love the spawner too - so much that I am already using it in my personal pack when I play. I've found 3 dungeons on my new world and I'm always stoked to see that vine-covered cage with something burning in it!

Welcome to the forum! I understand and appreciate your enthusiasm, but we're not even close to finishing the terrain.png yet. And I'd prefer not to use textures from other packs as placeholders - there's far too much of that around here these days.
BUT, fear not! XSSheep has offered to help me some more, now that he's released his pack.
I'm still working on getting the ores the way I want, then I'll start on some of the more thematic textures.

Okay, here's the first attempt at the new, less blobby ores:
I have yet to do the gems, because I may do them a little differently. Coal will likely stay the same as I am satisfied with the way it looks thus far. Thoughts?

Phewwww, sorry I haven't contacted you or anything HeadHunter!
I just had a couple of major tests for school, but they're out of the way now. Just send me a PM with anything you would like me to have a go at and I'll get right on them! :smile.gif:
PS: Those ores look marvelous. Excellent work! :biggrin.gif:
That's fine, I do appreciate the feedback. My goal is to make them less blobby and more like a part of the stone around them. I'm working on a couple methods to represent the needed depth and integration while still retaining the rich color.

You know what would be kind of nice to see? The crafting bench made to look like the old sacrificial tables on top of the pyramids. The ones where the priests would cut out the hearts of the slaves/captured rival Indians as a sacrifice to the Sun God.
Also, just a tip, try and make the stone texture blend together a bit more.

The triangles ruined it for me...that and the church for Satan.
Sorry, haven't really had time to play MC lately, let alone texture.
I haven't abandoned the project but I've got a serious family health issue to tend to, as well as preparing to move to another state in September.
I expect to resume work on the pack in two months.

That's a great idea. I'd actually thought about doing that with the bed as well! :blink.gif:

I just sent you a PM, but have just remembered your circumstances so please just ignore. Will be thinking of you, mate. Take care and best wishes to you and yours. :smile.gif:

I think the ores look cartoony. They look like big, brightly-colored blobs. Instead of ore veins, they look like paint splatters on the stone texture.
Also, just a tip, try and make the stone texture blend together a bit more.
