It was an honest mistake, and I've apologized man.
i’ts just that i wouldn’t care if somebody redistributed pieces of my stuff, when mentioning that they are from me;
but you, the one who doesn’t even let others redistribute his stuff unchanged, just use pieces of the work of others without knowing from where they came. that’s double standards, and thus i rubbed it in.
And no offence to you Richasackboy, but you shouldn't be one to talk, should you? The entire Gerudoku thread consisted of people taking textures from other packs like Doku, Dusty's, Glimmar, Misa, and other artists who showed their work in that thread and slapping it all together into one pack. If I remember correctly, you yourself used some of my textures in your version of the pack, and I don't remember you ever asking if you can use them. Not saying that I care or intended for people not to be able to use them without permission, just that you shouldn't be so accusatory on people. Using words like stealing is a bit hypocritical, don't you think?
Now that that's over ... I'm almost done with the texture for CTM. I made a new top and bottom texture for bookshelfs out of the trapdoor. You can see it being used as the floor.
Still have to do the actual books and maybe support sandstone as well.

Nice job Lilyo, keep it up. I hope you're serious about eventually doing FancyPack because it would instantly be twice as fancy with Johnsmith-style textures.
Clearly you have quite a lot on your plate, but it would be really great if the textures for IndustrialCraft could be redone. Really, I'm most interested in just the textures of the ores being redone, because they stand out so much against the stone with JohnSmith's textures.
any chance in some variation in the books, perhaps even a potion or a skull on the shelf, but then I suppose that would look a bit strange with repetition. Looking great though.

that’s exactly what i wanted to say with above post, to which you replied „Take it over pm if you're going to keep arguing.“
why do you post a lengthy version of my opinion on the topic after expressing you’d like to keep this thread free of it? :wink.gif:

not that i woudn’t love it if you did a high-quality ctm.png,
but what’s wrong with this one?
I could definitely do the ores.. not sure about the other stuff. It looks like a lot, + I don't use it.
Yeah, really it's just the ores that I care about. Actually, I might even be able to do it myself if I knew how. I've just never dabbled in pixel art. You know, if you still consider 32x32 pixel art.

That graphic is built wrong. Try to use it, and your windows are missing corners, and sandstone is invisible unless you don't install the sandstone mod in CTM.

i didn’t try each possible setup, so i don’t know if corners are missing, but i didn’t encounter any that were wrongly done.
also, you don’t have to use the sandstone tweak, because johnsmith’s sandstone has a side texture that tiles properly by itself.

A lot of things. The grid is not consistent, the middle, edge parts are not done the right way, the chest top and bookshelfs are just copy pasted 3 times and you can see the repeating pattern, and I wanted to make a new top and bottom for the bookcases as well as custom books. Why would I use someone else's work and have to look for possible mistakes when I could just make my own lol?
I'm gonna have to tweak the grid because it's not possible to have a nice consistent pattern with the current one.
Finally got a good grid pattern by moving the two lines down until all the spaces were equal. The only way for this to work is if the top and bottom and left and right meet to form the exact same thing as the middle. The single glass block is still like the original JohnSmith though.
All that's left to do is the bookshelf. I'll make a version will all books and one with more variant things like potions and scrolls.
[What’s wrong with the other CTM for johnsmith’s]

[You don’t need CTM sandstone in JohnSmith]
True for JohnSmith, but it's not the only texture pack I use. It was easy to solve by copying sandstone tiles into the appropriate places.
true, forgot about that, since i use johnsmith all the time :smile.gif:

Good to see you got rid of the weird spots where the criss-cross patterns seemed to be too thick when they met. I tried for hours to get it looking right and finally just had to give up, just further evidence I shouldn't really be trying to customize textures on my own. for you Lilyo.
Hey Lilyo, there have been a fair few post in the JS thread about an alternative Iron door for the pack that doesn't look like a prison cell door. So I thought I would pose the question here. Would you be willing to make an Iron door texture to suit the pack? as JS seems busy or scant of late.

Um, I like the current door haha. I only use the iron door as celldoors either way. Sorry.
I also won't be supporting the new books because the old ones look much more classier and I can't say I like some of the new changes haha (cobble, books, lighter terrain, jukebox).

I think FlyingSheep is actually working on an alternate iron door that will be in the texture customizer in the thread, at least I seem to remember him mentioning something along those lines in the other thread.
To Lilyo: Do you have a rough idea of when you'll be posting a .png for use with the connected textures mod?

books and cobble haven’t changed since at least v4. what new textures are you speaking about?

no, i asked if somebody knew one that fits into the pack and is free to use in the customizer. i don’t know if i have any pixel art skills, but i doubt it :wink.gif:

I can't replicate it now, but I ran into it with an aquatic dome. Builds since then look fine, so it might have been a glitch.

ok, i’ll be glad to use it. :smile.gif:
it’s possible. you’ll have to tweak the bad looking positions and it’ll look unregular when viewn diagonally, but that’s not bad IMO.
