Can you do a 32x version? I use Optifine because it helps with other stuff so I can't use the patcher.
Optifine does support 64x64 too. That should be no problem. I think, you should try.
I don´t think, that there will ever be another resolution than 64x64 version.

Nice screenshots.... ever tried that with any other Texturepack? That issue is because Minecraft fills up the edges/borders with some parts of the wooden-door-texture... there are NO serperat textures for this parts of the doors.... same with the iron-door, I think...and with the fences, stairs, fence-gates, slabs and may be some other stuff too.
I could solve that issue but that would force me to delete the doorhandle... I do not think that I will do that.
The survival_inv.png image in the folder gui\creative_inv needs to be updated.
It shouldn't have the "crafting boxes" at the top right.
A "delete item" box at the bottom right needs to be added.
Will be changed within the next version of the texturepacks.
AND there will be a more colorfull version of HerrSommer too.

Using this with sonic's shaders makes everything look really really bright...any solutions?
May be you should try another texturepack? think the shader mods make everything much brighter on daylight - you should ask for solution in the shader-mod-thread, I think...
Ok, im using the rustic, but you really need to improove the fire. It kinda sucks... no offense.
I´ve red this before...? May be you posted this in former times?
The problem is: I like the fire - there is no need to improve in my oppinion...maybe you could use some improved fire outanother texturepack?
Edit: ...but wait! Have you activated the animated Lave/Water/Fire/Portal within the mcpatcher or optifine-options??

I thought about bumpmapping, normalmap ... support... but do not know how to do that.... that´s, why mapping is not supported...
I´ll take a closer look tomorrow.... today is let´s play day....recording session....no time for other things...
