Looking at this up close. It looks like all you did was reize everything up, then overlay a texture onto it. No real work put into it. It may look cool, but anyone can take a stone or paper texture and overlay it onto a resized terrain file. Whats bad is most of it is overlayed with the -same- texture. even stone, grass dirt. It looks really weird.
Really the whole pack minus a few areas he selected to not add the over lay to are justwell... over layed with either
paper textures
wood textures
or over used noise filter. :/
Then a filter drop shadow on some other parts.
Items look even weirder. Really paper texture over the food? How does that made this 'HD'? Items really do use the same over lay as you can see a U shape in every one of them.
really as 'cool' as this may seem. ypsizing the default textures and adding filter effects and texture overlays don't make something 'HD'

But everyone likes it, It looks good, Your argument is invalid.

Oh its rather valid. Anyone can add filter texture overlays to upscaled textures and add a drop shadow to some pixels. The fact he used the -same one- over most of the pack right there shows a bit of lazyness if you ask me. Plus really? Come on putting a paper texture over upscaled textures?
The fact that people are 'linking' this over some of us that put real work into our packs rather than someone selecting and clicking a menu option to apply the same texture overlay.
So pretty much
Open default texture
Upscale
Click button to apply texture overlay
select some colors to add drop shadow to
insta HD texturepack full of win.
Sorry, I don't think so. I rather use packs that people put thought and you know, work into, something that takes time to make, not something done with a few clicks of the mouse in photoshop or gimp.
This is no more 'cool' then the other 'HD' pack that just added noise to everything and bad use of the embos filter.
great texture pack there. *brofist*. was missing a few textures though; book and quill, written book and the fire isn't the vanilla texture. But anyways, I have a new favorite texture pack.
I love the texturepack, but for some reason it causes massive lag spikes for me that I have never experienced before with other texturepacks of the same size (I use the 64x) anyone know why it causes that?

Using adf.ly again because many people had problems with adfoc.us.
Yes it is okay all you have to do is credit me if you publish it. I'm using GIMP for the texturing and sometimes Shadermap for Normalmaps
Always willing to help. Message me.

Can you upload it for everyone to use? Any Progress?
A double resolution graphics pack that stays faithful to the originals.
