I haven't really played the 1.5- version untill today, and i've noticed Notch has added a new system for the way the grass gets coloured on the sides of grass blocks. I make my own 128x128 textures and I can't find a way for the new texture to blend with my dirt as it doesn't carry over different levels of transparency and leaves big jagged edges and generally looks horrid, the new system works fine with 16x16 textures as everything is already very pixelated.
Does anyone have a method of utilizing this new system on 128x128 without it looking horrid?
I tried that, it worked for some shades but looked bad for others, prolly just going to have to either deal with it or just make all the grass one colour
