Update Log:

---- Started work on the terrain.

Looks great so far. The trashcan Chest is a neat idea.

i think you should look at the painterly pack modern stuff like the cabinet chest and the secret book case door etc.

I like it; certainty has potential. Monorail minecarts, perhaps?

I'll definitely look at them, though I want to keep the doors as actual doors, and the chest is already a trashcan.

- Added the workbench, furnace, and some other minor changes.

Updated OP again.
- Added Birch, Pine, and regular logs, along with the log top.

Some good ideas here! For redstone, how about 3 wires, two black, and one on the inside, which is the actual wire that turns red? Ex:

Just added:
- Pumpkins (now TVs!)
- Redstone (bundles of wires!)

I've actually been wanting to make my own modern texture pack for quite a while now, but I suck at life. So I'm going to give you some ideas whether you like it or not.

Lookin' great so far. It sucks that we can't have vertical chests, they could be fridges.

As for the mob spawner, hmm...that's a tough one. Maybe something along the lines of a dog cage or cat carrier ?

Also, I think it might be more realistic if you make the sidegrass for the snowdirt block look like dead grass. I know the grass around here always looks like garbage when it's that time of the year.

I hope you don't mind, but I have some ideas for alternative wool, or whatever:
- Refrigerator
- Red tool boxes
- Those large freezers that are basically refrigerators on its side
- Barbecue (possibly just the primary part of it, and just use fence to make it look like one)
- Siding for house (like this)
- Shingles
- Wallpaper (such as this and flat options that look like painted walls)
- Table instead of bed, perhaps ? Or maybe a coffee table...
- Paintings that look like a TV and/or speakers, whatever.
- Road options, such as black asphalt, black asphalt with yellow lines(stripped and solid options), black asphalt blocks that spell out STOP, black asphalt with the street crossing white line things..etc.

One question though, what is the pumpkin ? I can't tell if that's a microwave or a television. Or perhaps I'm wrong and it's something entirely different. Hard to see since it's so tiny. I am a blind idiot.

The pumpkin is supposed to look like an old TV, with a wooden front and plastic-y back.

Haha, don't worry about it. I understand though, why you might be confused. 16px*16px isn't much to work with.

The only problem with changing snow to dead grass would be the fact that it's still snow, and I try to at least keep the usage/abilities of a block within reason. (Ex: You can put stuff in a chest, you can put stuff in a trash can.)
I can however desaturate + change the hues for the little bits of grass on the side, to make it look more dead.

For the wool alts, I'm sure eventually I'll make alternates for them, but I hope to finish the terrain at least before I do this. Good suggestions though.

Oh no, I didn't mean change snow to dead grass, I just meant change the grass under the snow to look more dead, since right now for the sidegrass block that has snow on it has green grass. Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, I think that's much better. The grass around here in Kansas is always dull tan between...I don't know...August~March...ish. Which doesn't improve at all when it snows. I don't know how it is with other states and countries that have snow though since I'm forever stuck in this hell hole.

Anyway, yeah, that's better and more realistic I think.

Life's been really hectic lately, but I'll try to start work on some more textures soon.

I like this texture pack so far. Here are a couple of suggestions.

Maybe you can make a grill for the furnace?

Honestly, i have no idea for this, but maybe the crafting lines can be LED lights?

You already made a trashcan, so why not make a double chest a recycling bin!

I think this can be changed to C4, but a slightly different texture than the Plastic Craft version.

Thats all my suggestions for now. Hope you finish this texture pack!

Minecarts: Something, I guess a glass minecart with an iron frame?

mob spawner could be a star trek generator, face it, you cant really get them unless your hacking, and its rare to find dungeons, might as well!

i live in kansas, but where i live... when it snows the grass doesn't have a chance to turn tan!

you can make the gold bars 100 dollar bills!

you can do a cooky thing ang make eggs half grenades, XD thats all i use them for

you can take some pictures and use them for the artwork

double chests can be a dresser, i dont really feel like storing my stuff in a trash can
