Regarding the new sounds and music files: they are property of Bethesda, Zenimax, Obsidian and their respective musical artists and are not for commercial use nor are being used commercially. Do not re-distribute or modify them either. We do not claim to own them. The sounds and music included in this pack are encrypted to an extent as to not be interpreted at piracy. The materiel is believed to qualify as fair use and is not directly being used to generate any sort of profit.

You have some great stuff in this pack, I will give you that. However, you do realize that you ARE using these copyrighted files to generate a profit by using AdFly links, thus breaching the artists that own the rights to the music and sound files copyrights? Also even if you didn't use AdFly links you are still breaking copyright laws. You really need to do your research on Fair Use. The fact you claim you are not profiting doesn't take away from the fact by distributing others works, you are depriving them of potential profits.
Again, this is a really nice Fallout themed pack, but way to many copyrights being breached for me to ever download it.

I used the word "Directly" as in I am not selling the pack to make profit. Adfly is just that, money from ADDs. Plus it is only on option if you wan't to help us make some money to use on hosting and other needs of mineout. We have not used any of the adfly money for our personal benefit. It all goes toward various costs that have come about from Mineout. For example we are planning on getting a domain name and hosting a site for Mineout. Ounce again though adfly is only an option because there are two download links, one using adfly the other being a direct add-less download. However the "Always up to date" Surgarsync download is only an adfly link yes but that is because I never got around to putting the alternative link in. Also Sugarsync is a paid for service that I was hoping would pay for itself with adfly. It is meant to be a convenient option for the fans of Mineout. Sugarsync is the only link that doesn't have an alternative download but it will. If you wan't an example of adds giving profit from not entirely original content then just look at Youtube "Lets plays" they generate income for the uploader while using some one else's game.
As for the music, it is not meant, claimed or used as a sale point nor an illegal download of the composer's work. I do not include a list of the songs for that specific reason. All of the songs are ones that I have obtained legally and have converted into a less common music format that such programs like itunes do not accept. So for it to be used illegally by someone downloading it they would have to go through the process of converting it. It is not common knowledge.
As for how you claim that even if I didn't use the music than I would still be violating Fair use with just the art. Let me tell you why that is completely un-true. None of the pixel art is created using any of the assets that were created for Fallout. They are merely BASED on them as it would be impossible to use Fallouts assets in a 16x16 pack. If it was 32x32 that could be a different story. Either way all of the art is original content created by me and my partner and is protected under Artist's Copyright laws. Which is basically that if you create your original work then you own it regardless. Inspiration is a tricky thing when it comes to copyright but when it comes to art such as this it is more clear. Plus I don't use any trademarked names or titles because it is not called Fallout: Minecraft or anything. It is Mineout, an original name DERIVED from both Fallout and Minecraft.
So now that I have informed you on what you have seamed to miss understand or miss completely, please, if you still think that aspects are not covered under fair use then tell me EXACTLY what it is that you think is wrong. Otherwise go ahead and download Mineout and check it out. I don't care whether or not you use the adfly or alternative download. Matter of fact I encourage you to use the alternative.
Ever since the texture pack "The End is Extremely Nigh" was discontinued I've been looking for another post-apocalyptic texture/resource pack. I hit the jackpot. This is such an amazing resource pack, I'm so glad I found this! Great job!

Thanks, too bad to hear about that other pack but I guarantee you I have no intentions of ever abandoning Mineout
I saw this texture pack a long time ago, and I'm using it right now in a Fallout Map I found somewhere.
I think it's a great pack for Fallout-themed maps, only thing is, I don't know how to get these custom names to show up, is it a mod or something? If so, could anybody please tell me which mod?
It isn't a mod. All you have to do is select "Mineout (US)" in the language selector. It should be above the pirate speak language. Enjoy!
Hey, we liked your texture pack so much that we used it in our newest machinima called Quarantine. It fit it perfectly
Oh, wow. Awesome! This has one of the highest production values in a Minecraft video I have ever seen. Simply fantastic. Mineout works great for your story and setting. I'd love to see you use Mineout in some of your other videos too. Thank you for including me in this, really. I'll be sure to keep an eye on your youtube account now. I'm also going to put up a link to this on the main page here. Keep up the great work
Also though on a side note, it would be great if you could also put a link to the Mineout page here in your video description in addition to already having the name. It is just more convenient, thanks.

This texturepack is just simply amazing! The only thing that bothered me was the hit sound 3, which sounded like an eerie ringing noise. It was a bit annoying so I deleted it but other than that this texturepack is awesome!
so sense there is both dyed clay and dyed wool maybe u could make the dyed clay different sort off prop blocks, like science stuff, crates, decorations and wall variations.
Well dyed clay spawns in the new mesa biomes so that wouldn't work well. We did have plans on making wool more decoration based but they are also used for carpets :/
Now, there's supposed to be a language file... and it DOES show up... but it seems to do nothing.
I looked through here, and I saw a few people saying that it was causing crashes and what-not when they tried to load it up... but that's not the problem. The problem I'm having is that it changes nothing when I select it.

Hello CyberUnknown studios, I was wondering if I could use a tweaked version of this resource pack for a minecraft server I am working on. It is all based on fallout and we had to tweak it to add weapons from the game. We give you full credit in the pack and if you want to see the edited pack, or the server pm me. Thanks
Sure just suggest a good weapon in Fallout for an alternative. I was thinking of doing a Railway Rifle alternative.
And that is what I am talking about I was just going to suggest a hunting rifle or sniper rifle (I wouldn't suggest and of the automatic weapons for the bow) the only sort of bow draw animation I can see would be the steam gauge pressure rising. By the way is the golden hoe (the vault boy puppet) a reference to one man and a box(or crate) of puppets?

I don't know about any rifles other than the railway being that great for a bow but hey, I guess I might as well if thats what some people would prefer. Also yes the vault-boy puppet is a reference to Penny Arcade's vault 77 comic glad someone picked up on it.

I meant those would be probably what I would have recommended (I am not too creative) so really it is your choice to add guns or not or if a whole lot of people suddenly say they want guns in their pack.
Please can you fix the fire texture when mobs or players catch on fire. I am planning on doing a role play series with this resource pack seriously soon and it may just ruin the feel of the series.
What is there to fix? It is the default fire animation I use.
