A few months ago, I was introduced to the original Doku texture pack by one of my friends. I decided to privately modify it by myself for myself, and I have been doing so for all the Minecraft versions to date. Just yesterday my friend asked me what texture pack I was using if any, and I said that I had modded Doku. After asking me how many times and for how long, he told me that I should post it on the forums, because someone else might like it too. So here I am, showing off my texture pack to anyone who stumbles accross my thread. I will update it on the same day that Minecraft is, if not a day or two after, as I feel committed to making this a great texture pack now. Please do leave some constructive comments here, as I am always open to your new ideas on the forum. I am also aware that there are also other Doku texture packs, probably the most popular was GeruDoku, and in the past I have used some of their textures, but from now onward I promise that all my textures shall be original.
This texture pack is not designed to digress from the original Doku theme, and most of the textures included are from the original pack. My pack however picks up where where I felt it just wasn't right, and I continue to add updates for the new blocks or fix existing blocks.
Ideas from the public do help so put them out there

Children these days, they never learn and why would you ripoff Doku? Seeing you took the doors, glass, brick,water,lava, amongst other things. There should be harsher punishment for stealing without permission, like a possible warning like 3 strikes or something.

On a related story, I'm the photo editor for my school's paper and I can attribute (credit) as many photos from the internet as I want (give credit for where I got it) but it's still illegal to do.
TL;DR - Doku doesn't want his stuff used. So don't use it without permission.

Actually, if it's a texture pack to modify a game, usually the lawyers can make you turn over your rights to it anyway, technically.
And you're an idiot, too. You can reference just about anything for educational purposes and it's perfectly legal permission or not w/citation. Go to college before you try to quip about IP rights.
You cannot tell him not to edit your graphics if released in the manner you've chosen without accommodating documentation. I doubt you will be launching the legal crusade required to change this either.

MineCraft is not an educational purpose. Moot point and grabbing at straws.
Funny troll is funny. Stealing a commodity is an entirely different subject from stealing intellectual property, in fact nothing has been stolen because obviously doku still has his files.
I actually could use Minecraft in a school project (skinned with your textures) if there was an applicable situation.

I liked what was done so far, and there was a time when it was ok to do. But even then you needed permission. It's not ok now. So remove/replace doku's stuff and continue. Nothing you can do BUT that really.

Ok i will oblige to the request of the majority and remove my texture mod from the forums.
DOKU if you read this which i assume you are since mine seems to have struck the most arguments i formally apologize I may have used some of your base models but i have come up with most of it on my own and out of my own time. Either way it was wrong for me to just take all this with out permission. Hope for collaboration in the future maybe as simple as adding and ALT texture folder with a couple replacements for people that happen to like what i have come up with more that what your putting out if not ill just re-release one with something that looks absolutely nothing like yours. Im sorry really thats all there is to it end of story. You inspired me and a lot of other artists maybe some just like to cut copy paste from yours and others but i genuinely liked to sit in front of my photo shop wondering how i could take 32 bit textures to the border or realism RPG. I gave you credit dont deny it and dont ***** that I wasn't trying to right the wrong that I saw. The pack was down my message entirely erased for a while because of the first messages. Then I thought im not really doing anything wrong besides Helping to promote mine and yours maybe negatively but still promoting. Doku Your a god at texture painting i envy your skills wish it would have worked out better.
To all others thanks for arguing for me, And against me to help me see the full scope I hereby discontinue EntombedRPG untill permission is Given by DOKU himself for my work to continue progress i will continue to edit for my own benifit. So it will continue in background.

While I realize this is for personal use, I'd have to say that you should find another door / chest texture if you are posting here on teh forums.
